  1. And not get caught in possession. Very promising performance but needs to be more aware of what/who is around him. Got caught in possession twice by a poor Bournemouth team. Great going forward though and gives us different options.
  2. 100% agree. Smacks of Jürgen wanted a break, didn't know how long for, and we asked him who he wanted to sign. Remember Tony Barrett at the time saying that it definitely wasn't a Brendan signing, but a Transfer Committee signing.
  3. Perhaps explains those initial reports that the player's agent was pushing Liverpool as a destination for De Ligt?
  4. See how he lifts that pint as if it is Ol' Big Ears itself ? He knew. Before all of us, he knew.
  5. Q: If City drop points against Leicester, would you rest players for the Barca game? Edit - sorry, just noticed this was discussed in another thread.
  6. Funny how he wasn’t injured at all in the last 30 mins...
  7. We were seriously interested in Depay before he went to the Mancs, although we have obviously moved on considerably since then.
  8. Same here. I'll settle for watching it in the bierkeller where Jamie Webster is on beforehand as they have a big screen, apparently.
  9. Goes there in July. He doesn’t play against us in the CL.
  10. That's right, and then Rob Gutman immediately mentions a nod and a wink and a sideways eyes emoji?
  11. The last Gutter show, towards the end.
  12. On The Anfield Wrap. He implied that we were signing an elite level youngster, but wouldn’t/couldn’t give any details.
  13. Wasn’t Andy Heaton dropping cryptic clues about us bringing in an elite level youngster? Fingers crossed it’s Sessegnon.
  14. Well, the last time we lost a big, important game, FSG gave us a surprise Fabinho-sized present the next day...
  15. My Dad’s favourite, too. Went up to the Forest of Bowland once when he ran a pub up there. My Dad got to chat with him. Spot on fellah. Had a cabinet with his caps and medals in it and a photo of the 60s side where Rowdy Yates literally looked twice as wide as St. John.
  16. Slightly off topic, but I was having a mooch on the official Man City site looking for tickets for Thursday. They are advertising upcoming home games with Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. All three games are on General Sale "limited" to 6 tickets per supporter. 6! And they are looking at expanding their ground?!?
  17. Wasn’t there a news item a while ago that Chelsea still had ownership of Thorgen Hazard, or a buy-back option or similar, which gave them an advantage for Pulisic if Dortmund wanted Hazard to replace him?
  18. His extra big hug for Shaq at the final whistle maybe reveals how he felt about the Manc goal?
  19. Is he the most under-rated of our front three by our own fans? Bobby obviously being the most under-rated by opposition fans.
  20. True. Pretty sure that Souness tried to swap him for Keane though, and very soon after buying him as well.
  21. As I remember it, Souness bought Dean Saunders and then very shortly afterwards tried to swap him for Roy Keane. Obviously didn't work out, and probably didn't help with managing Saunders afterwards.
  22. I thought that first one was just designed to keep him out of the Man Utd friendly against their kids?
  23. Rory Smith on TAW saying that he thinks that City do have an issue with us, in the sense that they feel that we take away the limelight from them - hence the clear and deliberate decision from the City side to reference again the bus issue, in an attempt to convince people that we are not this loveable romantic club that they feel we are portrayed as.
  24. Whilst I obviously agree with the sentiment, the notion that Grobbelaar was "just going along" with the Sun's undercover reporter to "find out what was going on" strikes me as clearly nonsense - he was caught on video, so he had to explain his comments/actions somehow. About as credible as the funds going into Hans Seger's account being from a car ringing scam in the Netherlands. Yeah, ok. He's tainted for me. *Quotation marks are my recollection of what was said at the time.
