So earlier in the season I got a hospo ticket for free, our club affiliated guest was Jay f***ing Spearing! Who seemed like a genuinely nice, intelligent fella to be honest. There was a brief chat and Spearing said that he didn't expect Slot (he called him Arne but until he's won the league, it's surname only for me) to make many changes for the first part of the season and would stick with his strongest XI (11), mainly because Slot felt the club, the players and himself needed a really good start to get the fans onside (might not have used those words but basically that was the jist) My theory based on the above and evidence of the season is that Slot thinks it's a 180 game season, so I expect to see some squad rotation soon, and only then will we see which players he trusts.

I'm no football analyst, I just watch Liverpool and hope we win, and yeh, the two centre backs were absolutely f***ing crap first half and definitely got bullied a bit by Beto (alliteration) but I thought we were just s***e defensively as a team first half. The amount of times Everton won the second ball without much of a fight and then were allowed to play that quick ball out over the two centre backs without any pressure was infuriating. That was dealt with second half, we actually looked like we didn't want to let them score, so I presume the manager got wind of me ranting at the telly had words with the team and for that I'm grateful.
