It seems that the Morientes transfer to us and Owens current transfer are very similar. Lyon for Morientes really wanted him and were willing to pay over the odds , ditto for Owen and Newcastle Real using Newcastle and Lyon as stalking horses Liverpool telling the players in question to say he only wants to go to Liverpool VERY publicly Liverpool agreeing in outline before hand personal terms with the player Real in both cases don't like keeping players who are not happy Just depends on what Liverpool and Real can agree on and how browned off Real are about it happening twice. Amazing Real have not demanded like they did during the Morintes transfer first option on Gerrard , of course not , who wants to leave the european champions, how things can change so fast in football !!!
