Lacks of legs / aggression in midfield cost us the 3 points. Midfield picked just not fit enough or mobile enough. Plain daft selection. We need pace, aggression and constant pressurising of opposition , playing too many static midfielders ruins any momentum for the team.

Hard to know what to make of that. Funny thing is we didn't learn anything we didn't know about certain players who played or came on during game today.

It's harder to sign similar players close to so called world class when we don't have any at present, plus we will always suffer from the London draw. Historically all our past great teams were greater than the sum of the individual parts and were incredibly well drilled/coached. We had good international players in most of the squad/positions , and that's what we need to be going for again , with a good strong spine of leaders, tough, technical players. Somehow a mix of the best of what Rafa offered 2008/2009 and Rodgers offered 2013/2014.

He went from us to Arsenal . Am thinking about the other way, very few, well established players , move to us from these clubs.

Name one world class player or similar that has moved from Chelsea /MCFC/MUFC/ Arsenal to Liverpool in last 10 years . We got to get them before these clubs recruit for their squad fodder.

Why this love fest for Milner all of a sudden? Wouldn't talk to city about him as they will only be looking/ inquiring about Sturridge or Sterling. Go for Schneiderlin , since he came back into team Southampyon looking better. Lots of Ex LFC players highly rate him

i hope those rumours of Lucas leaving in January are BS becuase if he does we will have a new stand at Anfield but will will be playing the likes of Leeds, Derby or Wigan if this keeps up much longer. Okay , so say just keeper in January . Is it a keeper in the Mignolet bracket or Cech bracket ? Coz if Mignolet bracket , we are just kicking that rusty old can (decent bloody keeper please) down the road

FFP is a load of BS . Clubs just pay the fine and ignore the restrictions or balance the squad eg MCFC. I mean do we even have 24 players that are worth considering as challengers for a first 11 team spot for a CL squad? For Gods sake we dont even have one keeper and / or only one decent CB, plus one decent striker . Break the FFP and get a decent squad of 17 , rest can be kids.

Agree with Cech and Benteke .. Blow the salary cap to get Cech. We will have to buy over the odds too but refer to example of van der Saar at United when he moved there , people thought he was too old, had a great impact there . 4 years of Cech as number #1 plenty of time to get good back up in. If that is so , it's short sighted got to realise that mistakes need correcting in squad personnel

Hard to know yet how bad or mediocre he is , but too early to dump him now. If he was that bad we should be calling back Coates from Sunderland
