  1. Tell ya what, that wet dream's comin' my way Cannot possibly be happier, well actually I can: When the lad officially comes home
  2. So, Rick Parry was asked about Owen, he goes "Rafa and I have the same opinion", "wait and see" So the press got little, so they go to Gerrard, Gerrard said, "Only Rafa knows if he's interested" So they go ask Rafa, and Rafa said, "I don't wanna talk about players now" Merry-go-around We're playing those fools around and all three of them are silently laughing at the fools
  3. That's the same as saying we both want him...
  4. My word! Ricky wearing a "non-funky" tie and shirt?! That's it, that has convinced me, he's coming home
  5. That same smirk he gave to people when Gerrard did that U turn and stayed?
  6. And they can afford both? Somehow very much doubt that, they found it hard to afford Anelka...
  7. Heard that from a Geordie today, seems like this confirms their bid for Owen was a mock one "Hey, Depor, we failed to land Owen, so we're agreeing to pay your asking price for Luque... What? We have to pay more now? Darn..."
  8. Sure, they can do that, wouldn't hurt them much, just Owen's big, big weekly wages hammering on them, while risking his value to drop come this time next season due to lack of playing time. Real might be able to afford doing that, but is it wise doing it when on the other hand they have Owen wanting to leave for a club that's offering them 10-12 million for him? If they're that stupid, then let Owen sit on their bench for a year then
  9. Souey, oh Souey
  10. When Owen signs for us, there's gonna be an uproar down at Magpie land, "SACK SOUNESS! We fail to sign another big name player!", and the horrible feeling they'll get when they find out that they're being totally used and dragged by the nose That reaction would add a little bit of extra entertainment when Mickey re-signs
  11. If after you said this, and Owen goes to St James' and wears that prison bars shirt by next Thursday, I'd hunt you down and cut you up with rusty razors
  12. Must be a coincidence that within 12 hours of Baros being sold, Owen comes out and gives Liverpool a come and get me plea, eh? Or just a very well planned transfer...
  13. Where's this "Rafa doesn't want Owen" stuff suddenly pop up from? Owen's said as much that he'd only go to Newcastle if "the transfer with Liverpool can't be finalised", we're in negotiations with the c***s at Madrid, and we wouldn't be in negotiation if Rafa ain't interested. Simple So can this myth about Rafa doesn't rate/want Owen be eliminated once and for all?
  14. Some classic stuff from Toon fans: Michael Owen does not have any say what so ever in where he wants to play this season, he is in a no win situation. He wants to to Man Yoo or Pool but neither are interested or willing to take him at Reals asking price, Newcastle being the only other club able to afford his wages and pay the money required becomes his only option. Owen will HAVE to come to Newcastle on a permamnent deal IF Newcastle see fit that is what they want to do, otherwise a loan will be arranged. There is no way known Owen can hold any club for ransome because he is not in any situation to do so, especially considering England are at the a*** end of World Cup qualification. Owen there for has 1 option Go to Newcastle on Newcastles terms or dont play in the World Cup, its that simple. easy enough to understand?? your fantasy world of having Owen return to Liverpool like some fairytale wont happen, its virtually impossible. Your club cant pay the funds to get him there and the interest shown has been close non existant, you can throw as many consiperacy theorys up as you want mate but those are cold hard facts LIVE WITH IT.
  15. Yep, and they'd have to think about taking around 10-12 million that we might offer, or get absolutely nothing and let Owen go to Newcastle with them having to pay part of his huge wages, then having him come back after a year and all the issues totally left unsolved. It all depends on our bid now,
  16. All there's left to it now is us making a formal bid Hopefully we make one, we should, we certainly ain't going through all this trouble without firing a shot in the end.
  17. Antonio Cassano, you mean the lad with an ego as big as his wages and that lazy unprofessional t*** who made Capello tear his ass out when he was at Roma? Oh right...
  18. Exactly, some still thinks Owen's public statement was to put Liverpool under pressure on completing a deal with him, now it looks more like he has rejected Newcastle's bid before they even announced it If anything this shows that Owen wants to come to us first and foremost. And would've thought Real would've encouraged Newcastle to publicly state out their bid, too.
  19. What Newcastle just did seems to explain a lot about Owen suddenly coming out publicly about his situation Seems to be a smart and calculated move from Owen and his advisors, we'd know from experience, of course, for the wrong reasons...
  20. Also, what Newcastle bidded for Owen shouldn't affect our bid for him Owen already said he wouldn't join them on a permanent deal and would only look to us, so if Real doesn't smarten up and lower the price for us, then MO will go to St James' with them getting absolutely nothing while having to pay a part of his wages for a year. Real ain't in as good a bargaining position as some might think
  21. That seems to make a good point Owen would've been informed ages ago that Newcastle put in this and this much for him, by coming out and say "I'd only join them on loan if worst comes to worst and I can't go to Liverpool", immediately kills off the suggestion that he wants to join them permanently So Barcodes think of a last ditch plan on publicly announcing such a bid's been made and accepted to put more pressure on Madrid and Liverpool
  22. Have this feeling that Rafa's lying with a straight face, he does it quite often though, not in a bad way, of course, the truth ain't always what benefits Rafa and the club EDIT: Probably ain't even a lie, we probably haven't made a formal bid yet, possibly still negotiating the price, so Rafa might well be telling the truth, well the half truth anyway
