  1. The better team won in the end Crap decisions happen, like Materrazi's sending off and the pen. If we can't beat them when they had 10 down and were basically packing their own box, then we have nothing to complain about Still, as proud as I could possibly be as an Australian, to get past the group stages would've been the very best I could've hoped for and to see our display today which was by no mean that much inferior to Italy's, considering where we were a year ago, is almost a miracle And you don't see a better penalty than that, that was perfect
  2. England looks like a side that's waiting to be put outta its misery On their way to the quarters so far, they've played average teams (Ecuador was good in their first two games but since then they've looked ordinary), the best of them is Sweden, who everyone would agree were s*** yet bossed England for the 2nd half Of course there's always possible that they can fluke their way to a semi again, but the possibility of that is so so so so very low. When they come up against a Brazil or Spain, they'll get beat or have to have some extreme luck to get through. Even if they play better now, I wouldn't think they'd do a 180 degree turn and suddenly play the type of football that'd consistently beat the top nations from now on in which they have to do if they're to win it
  3. I thought little Mickey wants to win trophies? So why the hell would he go to a no-mark club purely due to his World Cup place? Or has he forgotten those trophies that he's suppose to be seeking when he left us for Real? If going to Newcastle is just for this World Cup place, then it's extremely shortsighted and potentially troublesome as it's proving now, and he can say ciao to those beautiful trophies that he is supposedly seeking

    Alves

HA! You can either call him focus there or a t*** who wouldn't sign autographs for fans
  5. Kuyt strikes me as the type of bloke who has a brain and does have some sense and ambition He'd pick us ahead of the Barcodes, besides, even if the Barcodes do get him, I'd laugh and watch them do a Leeds and go down

    Alves

The only thing I wanna know is how Alves will cope with being kicked left right and centre, that's something I haven't seen him cop often.
  7. I think he'll bang them in for us, but it makes me sick that I'll have to look at his mug on a weekly f***ing basis Happy we sign Bellamy the footballer, but gutted we have Bellamy the person at the club. He better don't screw up, the c***
  8. When we went a goal down after Kalac's howler that even Fabien Barthez would've found hard to beat, I said to me mates that "It's just like us to get a late goal now and go through, that's the way we've been doing things lately" Then 3 minutes later HK scores Then I spent the rest of the match yelling my lungs out at Graham Poll acting like a complete utter f***wit while having this smug look on his face. Hope he gets the boot, that clueless f*** Now let's hope the Italians do their bit and choke again this World Cup Nothing else needs to be said, we rule
  9. Was VDV playing last night? Didn't see him do anything
  10. Three posts on the trot unrelated to each other saying his touch is heavy Poor sod The only thing that can't be confirmed from watching him play for his national side is his abilities as a striker, since he rarely gets a chance to play upfront. A heavy touch and goalscoring knack are two unrelated abilities And his record for his club seems to suggest that he kind knows where the sticks are
  11. Apparently the report's from that rag, so it probably ain't true
  12. He did alright defensively and offensively, never stopped working. It was evident that he was playing on the wrong side when everytime he's looking to cut inside onto his right foot. The only thing suspect about him is his touch which seems to be heavy but apart from that he'd be a great addition
  13. Luxury doesn't mean "gifted and "has a flair" And yes, w***** Nev is luxury for England, half the time he parks his ass on the opposition half with Beckham instead of giving the hard yards.
  14. Owen in his teenage years was as quick as anything. Scary that some of his youth coaches said he was even quicker in his early-mid teens than his late teens. The bloke can outrun a truck. Bellamy himself's pretty bloody useful over 10-20 yards, for a striker most of the time that's all that matters, the accerlation to burst away from centre backs and beat the offside trap
  15. 'cept they don't have anywhere near the natural talent and technical ability that most of the Real Madrid players do have They're more comparable with the barcodes
  16. I'm more concerned with Bellamy's brain problems
  17. The biggest problem for England is the whole team's full of these luxury players Beckham, Ferdinand, Lampard, Joe Cole, Gary Neville, Ashley Cole. They're all luxury They're good to have if you already have a good team, but you can't build a good team 'round them, coz they're luxury and will disappear when the going gets tough The only one of those luxury players who are performing is Joe Cole. England need more John Terrys and Gerrards and Rooneys who'd bust a gut to win a game, and dare I say Carra. Reliable players, and in Rooney's case a reliable c***. But it's the English tabloid's nature to have a w***fest over all those luxury players
  18. According to some, Fat Shep's happily made the announcement that it's an ACL, not happy because Owen's injured but happy coz he can get his name on the papers

    Alves

Momo's only handsome when he has those goggles on
  20. You can't say it has no bearing, but nowadays the rehabitation's good enough to allow a player to not lose most of that pace, but ACL takes 12 months to recover and 2 years to completely get over and allow a person's knee to have a chance to return to its natural best 10-20 years ago, an ACL can basically mean career ending, but it's no longer the case. Owen's pace is not his all anyway, better player than just relying on his pace, one of the many myths surrounding him. But I can just see Newcastle rushing him back from this one and make him redo the ACL again, which is a high possibility if it ain't recovered fully
  21. No, just leaving for a club that you know you'd never get a regular start (Well I hope he knew anyway), then again leaving after just one year for a no-mark club while not having the nerve to hold out for Liverpool because "He has his England place to take care of and don't wanna lose his place in the World Cup", is what dug him a hole. Now his World Cup's gone and he's gonna waste another year at that no-mark club that he only joint because he "wants to get regular starts to keep his England place". So by leaving Liverpool he's wasted 3 years of his career. Just to make it clear: By no means am I taking pleasure outta his demise, I feel sympathy for his injuries, but his career is going down the s***ters now because of himself and his own poor decision making
  22. Must be shattering to see the World Cup that he oh-so-wanted to take part of falling to pieces The lad doesn't deserve it, feel sorry for him, but the fact is he did dig this large and comfortable hole for himself
  23. Ever since he left us, he's had nothing but bad luck, eh?
  24. I wanna puke
  25. Yes Rafa, very good footballer, not a very good human being
