I worked at a major head hunting firm in the UK for a while - they were specialists in board level recruitment for high profile companies - and they had a pool of names that they used to draw from that never seemed to get much bigger. The same people get to a certain level and then go from role to role regardless of their competence. It is fascinating and depressing in equal measure. -
