I think bringing up Degen is a bit tacky, but the glee with which some people have jumped upon that error is shocking. Bunch of f***ing weapons. -
No proper manager will come here under the current ownership. Better wait until DIC come in (if they do). If the Americans last until summer then they can install their own puppet manager and we can all get used to mediocrity. Proper mediocrity, not getting to 2 Champion's League finals out of 3.

It was Gillett on his own when Parry wasn't picking his phone up. How insane would Gillett have to be to think he could afford our club on his own?

There have been warning signs about this for months. It has been raised here time and time again to try and motivate and spark the fans because we need to act. The 'see no evil hear no evil' stance that some have adopted has damaged and stifled this process of getting the fans clued up, and in the process damaged the club. All IMO of course.

I think he had to move on from the Echo and quickly to get the news out to the fans. Perhaps the NOTW was the only offer on the table at the time? Whatever the case may be, he deserves some slack and some respect. If that is shown by people not continually muddying his name then that would be a good start.

Think it's too much to expect, but perhaps in future some will be less eager to jump on a good red trying to warn the fans.

Criticism of Moores and Parry is spot on. Moores watched us lag behind the rest of the elite clubs under his stewardship. He ultimately trusted a man who is clearly not up to the job in Parry. We haven't ended up with these two Yanks by chance it's just another piece of incompetence by people out of their depth. It only takes 20 minutes on google to do some research on Hicks and find some pretty disturbing things.

I don't remember seeing Gerrard on the right this season even though as has been pointed out, he is very effective there. Strange.

Play Gerrard or Benayoun on the right. Not the woeful Pennant. It's a shame that Rafa backed down on the Gerrard on the right media frenzy but not on the rotation one.

I love the spin that is being placed on all this. Get more money spent on the playing squad rather than making more $$$ for the Yanks. Classic ploy by Parry but unfortunately his word means nothing to me. I'm sure it will be lapped up by some though.

Intelligent player with skill and ability. Such a shame his body is a mess. If we'd had this man injury free, the club would have a few more trophies I'm sure.

Played badly the other night, but I seem to remember him making a mug of Pennant at their place and causing him to be sent off. If we could bring him in for a a decent fee then get him, there aren't many specialist wingers about.
