I know I don't post much but I've been following this, and similar, threads. I just wonder if chanting for Dalglish might be counter productive. Much has been made of supporters' role in ridding the club of H&G and that was great, but NESV might be wary of being seen to bow to supporter pressure so early on because it might, to them, feel as if we'd feel that we can force the issue everytime we disagree with them in the future. It's just a point of view, which could be way off the mark of course. However, if there's to be a chant, Hodgson for England, would get the message across and then they could, if they wanted to, appoint Dalglish without it appearing that they're bowing to supporter pressure, which they may feel would set a precedent.

I don't understand why new managers don't have a probationary period like in any other job - even if it's a season long one they should be able to be sacked if they can't do the job without paying millions. It's criminal to me that if Hodgson gets the sack after 4 months, 6 months or even a season, he will get (reportedly) half of what Rafa got after 6 years.

That was bittersweet to watch. I can't imagine nights like that with Hodgson. What I hadn't realised 'til I saw that was how magnanimous in defeat Mourinho was - I don't like him but fair play to him for that.

It's the ultimate revenge really - a Chelsea S/T holding Chairman of Liverpool firing a manager, who is probably the only person within the club who truly cared about the club (whatever his faults), for knocking them out of the CL and going on to win. He obviously has been waiting to avenge THAT goal.

Has he been emailed a copy of that? It would be good to know that he's actually viewed that clip and then see what he has to say!

Going ticketless, thought I would have been sorted in the ballot and would have gone anyway I suppose 'cos I've always managed to get a ticket in the past. I've resigned myself that I'm not going to get one now and I think it's right that the ballot tickets are used to replace those stolen, given that the Millenium Stadium were not going to budge. I've never watched a final that I've been to in the pub (make sense?) but there's always a first. Will be glad if it doesn't turn out to be the case but will not, under any circumstance, buy a ticket I know to be stolen.
