I definately think the lack of atmosphere comes from groups not being able to go together anymore. Long gone are the days when you used to go the pub with 5 or 6 lads, a few pints then onto the game, pay on the gate and all sit together. You'd all be able to get a song going as there were enough of you. Now you start singing and get nothing but sour looks from people.

The thing I dont understand about the transfer window is why wait till it opens to buy players. Surely you can do all the negotiating and agree a fee before hand and come 3rd January, when everyone is back from the bank holiday, register the player and exchange contracts etc. Just seems strange more deals aren't agree before hand and confirmed that the player will move at the next window.

On the subject of Nando, he's been looking better with every game he plays and his link up work has really come on leaps and bounds. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to tell people to shut up when they're shouting abuse at Kewell. He started off great for us when he first signed, then his form took a dip and he's been playing through an injury for the sake of the team for the remainder. Is it any wonder that now he's match fit he's starting to put in good performances again. I think there's a definate split on Kewell, some people hate him, and I fear will never accept him now, maybe just so they wont have to admit they're wrong. Another group, myself included, really want the lad to excell and we're all just waiting for it to happen.

I love that man. I hope he manages to get a run of games and have a decent end to the season.
