Bringing Ecclestone on just seemed to be a way of saying to the owners, "See! I like youth too. I share your vision" Surely when you need a goal it's time to bring on a striker with a bit of experience. Some strange decisions tonight. Not least trying to just defend a one goal lead for most of the game.
Hodges smile is almost as if he knows it'll annoy us even more. A F U to all who want him out. Angry and frustrated is how I feel, couldn't smile even if I tried. 19th FFS.
I spent all day in work, not doing any work just hitting refresh. I've decided to take tomorrow off so I wont be distracted and can sit here glued. Roll on the revolution.
He doesn't seem to be taking much responsibility. Saying the players should have done better and I'm disapointed in them, I should have picked better players is not taking responsibility. Maybe that's the problem, he doesn't realise that he can try and control what happens on the pitch during the game. It's up to him how the team plays, what tempo they try and impose. We were at home against a 4th division side. Regardless of the team we put out we should have won. The team takes it's lead from the manager. You can just imagine him sitting in the dressing room talking about how we must respect the oppopsition and not be too adventurous incase they hit us on the counter. Instead of going out fired up our players probably went out fearful of making mistakes. HIs comments about Jonjo are nearly as bad as his Torres ones. To say he only looked decent because he played against players who are tired will do his confidence a world of good. I've said for a while that whilst I dont actively dislike Roy I'm not actively liking him either. The longer this goes on the harder that it to say. Let's be honest as much as we want to win every trophy we can, we're not normally bothered about a carling cup if we've put in a good show but didn't quite make it as we had the European Cup and the leage to bother with. What have we got now? Even if we win at the weekend and win comfortably we're lacking direction. This is and was always going to be the case with a caretaker manager and until the ownership problem is sorted out that's exactly what Roy is. The players must know that they're likely to be here longer than the manager which doesn't help him or them. Basically for all of this rambling rant, what I want to say is I'm annoyed and fed up.
That works. Swap the no limits line for Roy Roy Hodgson the repeat with clapping would sound great. Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Roy Hodgson
Sterling yet another example of a youth who likes to cause badness for older people. Does he own a hoodie? 'innit' Great to see the youngsters get a run out.
Does anyone know what to do if the season ticket you've been using all year isn't actually in your name? This list of questions of the official seem to indicate that you've got no chance of going to the final if your name doesn't match up with the Fancard/Season ticket. Anyone had any experience of this?
looking slightly further ahead, if we were to get to the final are tickets printed with your name on them? I only ask as my season ticket is currently in my grandad's name and would hate to miss out on being there if we did lift it. Anyone know from previous years if the club are happy to allow you to nominate someone if you qualify for a final ticket?
Anyone think that there's any real chance that it will be called off? What's the earliest we're likely to hear. The walk to work in town today was awful. I'd hate to think what it'll be like come Sunday if it's just going to get worse and worse.
The club should could always ask people to pay say £20 to confirm that they still want to be on the list. Would no doubt clear some of the people who no longer want it and give a bit more of a realistic picture. The £20 could be a deposit even which would come off the cost of the season ticket when they actually get one. I've been on the list for probably 9 years now, yet I've no idea where I am. Could the club not have all the names available on a database which we could access online and be told where we are? Seems a simple enough idea. Log in on the official site, your name or reference number is highlighted and you can see how many are above you.
I'm going for 3-0. Think we'll really play them off the park and get what we deserve for a change. Torres, Gerrard and Kewell to get the goals. Come on Reds!
The most interesting part of his post match interview imo was when Rafa said he wanted to keep winning for HIS fans. Seemed to be saying to the owners that the fans are on his side not theirs.
Also says in the article that Rafa is considering getting David James as a replacement for Pepe if we were to let him go to Valencia as part of the deal to bring Villa in. Load of old tosh. Dunn's obviously been dared by one of his mates to write the biggest load of bull he can and see if they print it.
