  1. He coulda scored a hat-trick today.
  2. First half they had 1 shot and target and we had 10. And hit the post twice.
  3. Did v well. good to see him back.
  4. I completely missed it but that looks like a bit of a dead leg. He might be fine tomorrow after a rub down tonight. He might be out for a month.
  5. Lisbie scored 16 goals in total for Charlton in 155 apps. That's a goal just over every 10 games. Basically scored a season's worth of goals against us in one game. Ridiculous. That was back in the day when the football matrix was still being run by a manc algorithm.
  6. I thought he was terrible in the 1st half, particularly with Szoboszlai, who he gave at least a couple of dubious FKs against and gave nothing in reverse, one was particularly obvious. He was much better in the 2nd half. He either watched the highlights or someone told him that Brighton were having him on. On the plus side he didn't give Mac a 2nd yellow when he could have done early in the 2nd, again, the 1st he got at the end of the 1st half was nonsense and I think everyone knew it including the ref.
  7. Yeah I reckon you were right all along.
  8. After the first 3 teams came out I just wanted a home draw.
  9. Surely Man Yoo should stick with van Nistelrooy after that result? Surely, surely???
  10. Yeah, I agree, I wanted Ait Nouri when we had Klopp. Now we need defenders at full back I think.
  11. I don’t want to defend him but there was a little bit more to his answer. he wants to be regarded as the best full back ever and no full back has ever won the ballon d’or so he thinks winning it would show that he’s the best. I dunno why he really gives so much of **** about what people think.
  12. Sky pundits keep saying he could start.
  13. Yeah I think Saka will start and will probably last most of the game. He gets subbed a lot anyway, maybe be subbed earlier. Timber will start but won't make the whole game and if he does it will **** him up. He's barely played for months. Calafiori will also start because they've got **** all else. He's injured. And they've got Newcastle and Chelsea next. These are not fun times for Arsenal fans. I don't think we really give a **** what their lineup is.
  14. And arsenal are at home tonight. Leipzig doesn't look easy to fly to and from either. I can't find any direct flights from the UK and it's 4hrs+ from the nearest other airport (Prague).
  15. He wanted Darwin to get two yellow cards within 20 seconds for being pushed over and a nothing foul. Yes he was s***e.
  16. I'm hoping for a good game and a win. I'm driving 260 miles on Saturday to take part in my 13yr old niece's birthday party and probably driving my drunk other half the 130 miles home. The Sunday is mine.
  17. I had the "pleasure" of having to listen to it on Talksport. Matterface didn't shut up about it for the rest of the game. The other fella commentating said at the end that Palace "should have scored 2 or 3" in the 2nd half. They had a total xG of 0.61 for the whole game. https://understat.com/match/26662. Ours was over 2. I was in the car with a Forest fan. He thought it was hilarious. He'd never realised how randomly biased commentary could be against us.
  18. I thought he had a good game and to tbh, other than the "he's a number 10" thing I don't really see anything wrong with him. Yeah, I'd like him to score more goals and get more assists, but I'd also like... He does some great running and is a threat to do something unexpected. Though If you're reading this Dom, what I really want is goals. Really good goals. And some neat, cute crosses when and if you get the chance. Thanks. edit: I am enjoying the rest of your work though, it's exceptional and I hope we all appreciate it as I do.
  19. Let's Röhl another number for the road.
  20. There was some stuff a few weeks back about us getting encouragement to go back in for him. Sociedad offered him a new contract and he turned it down.
  21. I'm not having the homesickness thing. Sociedad is clearly a tight-knit club and he's been there since he was a kid. I bet all his family are Sociedad fans too and I bet his other-half's family etc, etc. Sociedad wanted to keep hold of him and his agent's job is to keep things smooth if no deal could be done thus all the mountains and food BS. I reckon he would have come but he didn't want to have to go through the rigmarole of turning up in Madrid with £51m in cash. Now they've all had a bit of time to think about it, probably including Sociedad who will have been told there's little chance of Zubimendi signing a new contract worth less than half that which we're offering, I would think there would be some scope to sort something out. It's all very reminiscent of the Ander Herrera to Man U saga. He actually did end up paying his buy-out in the end. In cash, in person, at La Liga HQ in Madrid, and it was the window after Bilbao refused to take the buy-out fee from them directly.
  22. do you find them difficult to swallow?
