  1. WTF is that song they’ve started singing? I can’t have just never seen that in 40 odd years of watching football.
  2. He's had some good games since but up until that injury he was consistently good.
  3. Yeah he was playing well before that. But he's had plenty of time to get it back again...
  4. Glad I ****ed the second half off.
  5. Arsenal giving Madrid a good 1-0 battering is just what we want. They've not got the card thing right at all for the new format.
  6. Well that's progress.
  7. Yeah, I was pretty annoyed after the game but managed to enjoy the rest of the day, then woke up in the night annoyed again and haven't really shaken it off. Annoying.
  8. Still, at least VvD is saying there's progress. That's significantly better than no progress and hasn't anything to do with what Hughes is briefing.
  9. Have you just let off?
  10. I remember him that too and it turned out to to be straight up lie. That’s why the agent on holiday thing ran and ran, there was nothing to be done other than a bit of formality. then as Cobs says, Rafa turned up knowing his agent had been hawking him around Spain. On holiday.
  11. No. I want to go, but I have a prior engagement.
  12. I never said he shouldn't be allowed. He should be ****ing ashamed though.
  13. Good on him, then he can feck off to Madrid and not let the door smack him on the a*** on the way out.
  14. Well, it's possible more things to be true at the same time though isn't it? He absolutely shouldn't because it shouldn't involve him due to the way he's behaved. As I said, it's up to him isn't it. My preference is neither here nor there.
  15. I take it you think he should be? It'll be left up to him (as it should be) and my guess is that he's obviously narcissistic enough to show up and show up to a trophy parade, cos after all, it's all about him and him wanting to have everyone say thanks to him for being such a great player and servant to the club.
  16. No, I don't want to see him at Anfield again because I don't think it would good times for anyone in the ground dealing with what he's done/doing during a title run in, but also whilst he's been doing it, he took the p!ss out of all of us in a Google advert. If you're okay with him doing that that's up to you.
  17. Yeah, he'll get booed. And there will be arguments in the stands with people telling people to stop it. All very unseemly. TBH, I hope he doesn't play for us again.
  18. Yeah, I sorta thought that, esp. the ad. I thought, nobody would be that much of a **** to do that if they gave even a the slightest **** about their "legacy" and were gonna **** us off to play for play for Madrid. So clearly he's either a complete dimwit. Like proper village idiot level simpleton, OR he really couldn't give a flying ****. I think there's enough evidence that he's not an utter moron, ie, he can string a sentence together, so evidently it's the latter. Personally, I don't want to see the kid back at Anfield ever again.
  19. Proud to be from Liverpool and loves (loved?) playing for Liverpool but wants to play for Real Madrid? Yeah, nice one.
  20. And a big part of the abuse he's getting is because he's played on the "I'm just a local lad who's dream has come true" narrative for years. Lapping up the scouser in our team etc. If you do that and then decide you'd rather win the Balon D'Or and hawk yourself out to Real Madrid whilst under contract it's no surprise when people don't wish you the best of luck with it.
  21. I think Ibou wants to go and play at PSG. He'll be their captain and star player. I don't think we will pay him enough to make us a better option. But yeah you're right. We need to start selling players that don't sign contracts.
  22. McManaman sort of got away with it mainly cos we weren't very good and nobody really begrudged him leaving in the end, especially the way it worked out for him. Fowler is loved, but nowhere near or like the same way he would have been if he'd have been as good as he could have been. Gerrard would have absolutely despised and vilified if he'd have gone to Chelsea. I still don't like him partly because he even thought about it.
  23. If my kid was in his mid 20s and had an offer to go and work for a company that meant when he came home that strangers would forever interact him in a different and objectively worse way I'd absolutely tell him he was making a big mistake. He's got every day of his life after he's 35 to go and see and experience the world. If he ****s off to Madrid now he can't ever really come home. The same isn't true for all of the people that are advising him that it's a great idea. Bellingham for instance, it's absolutely not the same for him. He can go home to Birmingham and to Birmingham City whenever he likes, they retired his shirt number ffs. Liverpool will be retiring 66 for entirely different reasons. Just imagine when and if he comes back to Anfield playing for Real Madrid. If he was your kid, why would you want to put him through that? I think he'll get way more **** than Owen ever got and even that little robot has got a massive chip on his shoulder about that.
  24. A really bad decision from him as far as I'm concerned. He's not going to make that much more money, he's not going to enjoy his football (if at all) that much more. But when he's finished he won't be able to come back to the city he's from or to the club he grew up in without everyone giving him side eye and knowing that everyone is disappointed in him. He won't even get proper respect from Evertonians. It's basically an act of self harm. I pity him.
