I think whinging about him speaking at a business convention to be very odd, but seems to sum this place up at the moment. Think I’ll go and enjoy the sun instead.

One of the main aims of the festival is to sell the city of Liverpool to the rest of the world, wouldn’t be very community minded of LFC, arguably the biggest name in the city, if they took the approach you suggest. He’s not going to win no matter what he does, so no point in discussing it.

I’m regularly told by people on my travels around the UK that they were really surprised by how nice Liverpool was when they visited the place. We might know it’s great but the tired old cliches about Liverpool are still live and kicking in various parts of the country. All I see Moore’s doing is calling out the rubbish spouted about the city. He was invited to give the keynote speech at the International Business Festival held in the city. Good for the club and the city I would have thought.

I think his approach to subs is Klopp’s Achilles heel. It will be interesting to see if greater quality on the bench solves this.
