And back to the original post. Having not seen it or anything related to it (!) I can only speculate on what they may be trying to do. As they know none of us would touch it with a placky bargepole, is this a clever way of sticking two fingers up to Merseyside and fabricating (I know, what are the odds) an issue where none exists? And what does the rest of the country think? Do they think there may be a Liverpool-Everton rivalry at the heart of this? We've already seen pointless and unhelpful speculation over the Madelaine McCann disappearance and the papers looking for any angle to keep the issue in the news to sell papers. Lastly, we already know how bitter and twisted some deluded Evertonians are, could this actually cause some of them to become even more bitter and twisted? Like I say, none of us have seen it but this type of s***e may have the potential to cause repercussions for the future.

I'll admit to not having seen the offensive cover but I've read various reports about it and there were a few on Roger Philips' phone in at lunchtime sounding off about this as well. It seems the Sun printed a picture of Rhys Jones with his Everton shirt on and a blurred-faced picture of the alleged shooter wearing a Liverpool shirt and saying his favourite player is Steven Gerrard. People have been saying the implication is that there is something in the football rivalry. I heard no Evertonians are buying in to this s***e and again, I'm loath to comment on something I haven't actually seen myself but does anyone else know anything more substantial about this? If this is what they are doing, is it a clever way of using the boycott against us knowing full well they might get this s***e through with no-one able to stand up against it for fear of being seen breaking it?
