    Many of his punches aren't successful though. Not saying he's rubbish coz he's obviously class but we have a habit of ruining keepers: James Kirkland Westerveld even Friedel who all looked good elsewhere.

    Trouble is that we could start next season with 3 new players in our back 5 and be out of the CL race by November due to poor defensive play brought about by changes. I hope not, but with reina we know where we are don't we?

    Its a risk. Villa's 3rd 4th and 5th goals were partly his fault. But over the season he is largely responsible for keeping them up. But... the expectations are different.

    OK well at least one! My main concern with him signing is the expectation level mixed with potential loss of confidence. Its clear he has ability but we need a solid pair of centre backs to prevent getting owned on corners.

    Clearly has great feet for a keeper and even took a couple of penalties in his early career. Fits the sweeper keeper role and has first class reflexes - see his save vs Chelsea for an example.

    Big risk but then reina in for Dudek felt like a risk. Just watched his best saves on YouTube and he appears to favour punching over holding onto the ball. Based on that alone we'll concede more corners where we've been poor at defending. He appears to flap sometimes... Please don't be another David James.

    40m for Suarez and 15m for Carroll and we're back where we were having sold Torres. Can we invest wisely or will we really stuff it up? So far I'm impressed with the targets...we look to be getting better value than under Kenny (Suarez aside)

    The Greek would be ace. He's a natural defender and I believe he's also played defensive midfield. Not as silky as Agger but reminds me of Carra in a lt of ways, just a natural defender.

    Even when City won the lottery they had to start with the Gareth Barry's before the got to the Aguero's of this world. Players want CL football, so asking FSG to sign huge superstars is unrealistic. We have to find and develop and hold onto them.

    For me he seems a confidence player. Keep his confidence high by getting him to thump a few past some rubbish teams and he might be a really good addition. Looks tough enough already. Just needs the right breaks in his first season.

    He's got great pace and technical ability. We'd be looking at 3 years before he reached the required level and that would need game time on loan. Clearly has talent though.

    Go to Real and play CL footy with no ban or stay here serve a huge ban and get slated weekly by the press - nobody can blame him even if he did bring it on himself to an extent.

    Agger a target for Monaco - are his injuries behind him? If so keep him, if not then cash in and get 2 x up and coming CBs.
