  4. f*** me watching that was hard work. And what's all this Big Sam meets the TV people malarkey beforehand? Was that his interview for the England job? He's a big fat c*** and i hope he gets really bad tooth decay.
  5. He's a better than average full back - not great but decent. Eventually, I think we'll get someone else in for that position but Riise is handy to have around nonetheless.
  6. Thought he was very good last night. I guess because players found more space, the passing was back and was mostly 100% accurate.
  7. I am a big Xabi fan, but I am sure even he would admit he hasn't been at his imperious best in a lot of games this season. Your name betrays you

  9. I think any young player with half a brain (or who has an agent with half a brain) would be nuts to go there. And that's even if they support them.

  12. Villa looks a proper player to me. Defoe not sure - bit of a southern media favourite. He's decent, just not sure he's good enuff.
  13. Bit disengenious that. Loads of clubs might be in for him but if 2 of them are Wigan & Blues**** whats the point? They'd be in for Robbie Savage or Muzzy Izzet. doesn't mean they are decent players. I think his leaving Madrid had proved that Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal don't want/need him, and that we'd only have him conditionally. And if he thought Newcastle would bring Cl football, he's either thick or deluded. It brough him a stage for the Wc year ( which also isn't happening - anyone believe in Karma?). Boateng? Is he going to replace Gerrard, Alonso or Sissoko in the centre of midfield?
  14. There weren't last time. At least not decent ones apart from us.

    Transfer Window

I think of all the players we've bought in the last 2 have improved the squad and were needed.

    Morientes

Morientes was hardly Gary Mac old, he was 29 when he came i think. Also, Houllier tended to be criticised for buying players too young. You need a mix. Age doesn't come into it in this case. I am guessing here but horseface at Utd is probably roughly the same age as Morientes, has had more serious injuries and (may god strike me dead) I'd love him in our team atm. Really like Morientes as a player and he had a very decent run for us before his recent injury. However, I can see him leaving in the summer because he's not being as effective as Rafa probably thought he would be.
  20. If the ball comes at chest height he should head it instead in order that he controls it better, which he's not likely to do given he's going to be stopping a couple of foot to get the ball. Is that the premise of your argument?

  23. just what we need.
  24. he's alsa more known to teams now and isn't getting as much room as he would like. They will have seen what happens if you do when we played Norwich at home last season.
