Is right. It was a bit alarming to hear about DIC dropping out like that, but it seems to me that the club is in the healthiest position it's been in for years, and I don't think DM or RP would jeopardise that. I guess DIC weren't the right people at the end of the day, so on to the next...

Does anyone know what happens now- presumably the board have to elect someone to replace him, but how do they do it? i.e. do they stick the names in a hat, do they get their mate's senile old Grandad in, do they have an arm wrestling contest, or what?

And never mind ball-tampering at the Oval, seems to me there was a bit of tampering with the pitch at Bramall Lane- anyone else notice there seemed to be a good 10 yards between the touchline and the advertising hoardings on Saturday? Presumably one of Warnock's bright ideas to try and stop any decent football being played...

Davies was rubbish. So pompous and moralistic, like being preached at. I prefer Jonathan Pearce when he's not shouting his head off.

I know it's only highlights, and Man U had their share of the ball, but when we are attacking it looks so easy, almost like a training match. Oh, and the combination of Barnes and Beardsley (with Rushie to feed off the scraps) was at times totally unplayable that season. Makes me think how much we could improve on the current attack, to be honest.

Hope so. The mock-up above looks much more like it IMO. It's obviously important that the flame is represented on there somehow, but I think the shield (and the green gates) could be replaced or left off. The liver bird is currently way too small, especially when the the logo is replicated in small version e.g. on websites.
