Alonso hasnt been consistent enough over a whole season to be considered world class.

Carra is not world class, his distribution is poor and he doesnt score enough goals. He's a bloody good defender though!

Kewell should be up there with Stevie but he rarely runs at defenders these days. Hopefully we'll get Bellamy and Owen or Defoe along with SWP, that wouldnt be too shabby considering "Speedy" Gonzalez will also finally arrive.

Both not even good enuff to warm the bench but if I had to choose one I would rather have Heskey then Crouch.

Arsenal deserved to win, end of. We only had 2 or 3 clear cut chances apart from the goal and we didn?t capitalize, hell, we NEVER capitalize. Benitez can blame him self for this, he didn?t deal with our weak positions last summer nor in January (apart from the goalkeeping slot) and it wouldn?t surprise me if he'd fail again in the summer. He introduced Fowler way too late and, yet again, Gerrard was the man behind the goal but unfortunately he also set up the winning goal (wonder if I still get 2 points from him in ff?). Liverpool are more or less a one man team and if Gerrard isn?t setting them up, no one is. Arsenal were a joy to watch, one touch football combined with sublime individual skill. Shame Rafa has other ideas for us, mainly hoofing it up to Crouch.

Whenever we play Crouch, Carra and Hyypiä just love hoofing the ball up to him and make him head it on to the striker that's, unfortunately, always behind him so its just a giveaway. Wish we could just play simple posession one touch attacking football like we did in the 70's, 80's and mid 90's (or until Houllier took over).

feckin hell! 40M on Josemi/Kromkamp, Nunez, Crouch, Morientes, Reina, Alonso, Garcia, and Carson. 8 players (bar the youngsters and the freebies) and only 2 or 3 have come good! Not so sure anymore I want to give Rafa another 40M!

As one said, Ronaldinho is just flavor of the month at the mo. If you follow Barca and watch every game you can clearly see he goes missing so often during a match and he, along with Deco and Messi, is very poor defensively. His attacking play is brilliant when on form although his set pieces are often average but he has some way to go before being hailed as the best footballer in the world IMO. I still think Kaka is better then him, he doesnt have Ronaldinhos oversteps but his vision and brain are second to none.

Hell, if we could win every game in the prem 1-0 that would be fine with me! But the reality is, however, that to win the premiership you need more goals for the long run. While Arsenal, Chelsea and ManU are scoring goals left right and center we need to do that too, otherwise it might prove costly. You argument will go right through the drain though if we end this season level with ManU but because of their goal difference we finish 3rd. Having a solid defense is vital, but having consistent goal scoring strikers and midfielders is just as important. And remember, this aint the Spanish league. Real and Barca were s**** that year!

After coming out and condemning cheating and diving I think it was disrespectful what some Liverpool players did tonight towards the manager, especially Morientes for his blatant dive for the penalty and Kewell for going down way too easily on many occasions. If you want to erase cheating and diving from the game, you have to start looking at your own team first before judging others, the two of them made Benitez look like a fool when he was asked about certain incidents.

Dudek 7, didn?t have much to do but when called upon he did well Finnan 8, had a very good game but he was lucky Adebayor was offside or else... Riise 7, got found out couple of times but his attacking game was good Carra 8, vg game Hyypiä 8, good interceptions during vital moments Kewell 7, he's clearly lost his shooting boots but he gave Ebue plenty to think about Gerrard 9, Stevie G did almost everything: attacking, defending, creating and unlucky with a well struck penalty but luckily it didn?t matter in the end Alonso 9, was immense, controlled the game from A-Z and showed is compatriot Fabregas that he's still got a long way to go before reaching his level. Oh, and he brought his passing boots with him Sissoko 8, his interceptions and tackling were world class but his distribution is letting him down big time! If he learns to pass the ball and not give it away he'd be near world class by now. Morientes 4, bloody useless in front of goal! Is he playing off Fowler? Seems to me Fowler's the one creating all the chances for him. Fowler 7, had a good game, was unlucky Lehman was inform today but he stretched their defenders and created a brilliant opportunity for Moro. subs: Cissé 6, didn?t have much time to impress but he was still clean through on goal with no bloody goalkeeper only for his first touch to let him down big time, again, and not for the last time. Hamann 7, good shot but great goalkeeping by Lehman, didn?t have much time on the pitch but he did his job well. Garcia 8, purely for the goal, priceless. Didn?t to anything until then but that?s enough for me!

As I've said before, hes bloody useless. It was DejaVu from the Wigan match where Fowler put in a brilliant ball for Morientes only for him to misfire, again, and again. No matter how much he tracks back his job is to score and assist and he's doing neither. Although I want to spare him, Cissé had an open run straight at the goal with no goalkeeper in goal in the last minute...I've said enuff.
