Agreed. Apart from the even number of testicles, he's worse than Hitler. Actually I could be wrong on Keane's nut count. And presuming I'm not too late, I'd also like to join the "why-didn't-we-sign-Arshavin-instead" bandwagon. This opinion is based solely on two good games he played for Russia in the summer and the half dozen goals he scored yesterday. But seriously, he looks just what we needed. Unlike Keane, he'd have complemented what we already do well. What a depressing opportunity cost Keane's signing was. Hopefully this summer will be different.

Agree with that. Babel is done. Riera who is a little hit and miss, is a much better footballer. And despite failing to play in Torres at one crucial point, still manages to link up play much better than Babel. Alonso's over hit setplays are frustratingly predictable. Frustrating mostly cause you'd expect him to be great at that kind of thing. I wonder how often Rafa stands, gesticulating on the side of the pitch telling Alonso to play it short...

Yeah they did score from it. Fabregas got back up and tackled a ponderous Alonso who'd switched off after Carra's bollicking. The ball then found its way to Mascherano who must have thought he was back playing in Brazil given the amount of time he wanted. Not directly Alonso's fault, obviously, but it'll probably be the little details like that which will make the difference in the end. Moreover, that whole kicking the ball out of play is a f***ing joke. It does my head in. If it's serious the referee will stop it. We have to be the least cynical team in the league which is great and all but a little bit of ruthlessness wouldn't go astray. Starting with never kicking the c***ing ball out of play if an opposing player is "injured". Let everyone else do it, but we shouldn't.

It would be nice to think you're right. But any margin of error we had is gone. Realistically the chances of us dropping no further points and the mancs losing a couple are fading fast. It's been a great effort and hope springs eternal and all that... but really we needed all three points tonight.
