  1. Could give them a lift in terms of initiative and mindset if we made a significant change in our set up. Might well work in terms of stiffling their main threat but it would be a tough call to do so imho
  2. Will Mignolet start for Belgium in the summer?
  3. Looks like palace could also be in party mode
  4. Amazing we haven't had a red yet this season, mockeristic I know but that's the only way I can't see us getting 3 points on Sunday
  5. Must be hard to set up v us now, Sunderland got close to it by playing deep and crowding the middle as much as possible but eventually you will come unstuck as they did. Some managers think having a go at us and exploiting our weakness (defence) is the way to go but that's playing into our hands and we will beat you in a shoot out. Fat sam - kick em, harry em, chase em and when you get it, lump it to that big guy with the pony tail - this tactic more than any will play in to our hands, they will be out on their feet at around 60 mins and if they are still hanging on, unleash raheem at them
  6. Have to think that is naive from nice but dim, they're gonna be wide open
  7. Coutinho or Sterling? Not what you would prefer, what do you think BR will go with? Think he will stick with Coutinho
  8. I did post previously prior to a late chelsea winner and got slated
  9. Palace as likely to get one on the break
  10. Sherwood with a weeks prep is probably a good thing for us - screaming and roaring ol style cockney values to a bunch of bemused foreign sorts
  11. I said this before the cahdiff game but performance+ability=result and you can pretty much guarantee a performance given the spirit and stakes so relax and watch them JFW
  12. The only way this season could end up in a negative light is if we do the business v city and chelsea and then choke v palace/newcastle which could negatively impact long term so; JFW (it) Or Stay in the mix and just narrowly lose out without the choke factor
  13. Any quotes from the presser? One of BR's most admirable traits as a manager is how calm and collected he appears at all times, take on saturday at 0-1 and 1-2, he barely got off his seat, from the tv pics he seemed to be scribbling away and bouncing ideas off Pascoe, got them in at half time, few subtle changes and bang we are back in blitz mode. Contrast that with the likes of tgat bafoon at spurs jumping around like a maniac, I know who I'd be more confident playing for!
  14. 3rd as a min is massive, no waiting around to secure qualification
  15. 5 homes and 3 aways (Palace, West Ham, Norwich) - its over to the fans now to roar this home...
  16. JFW +3 on gd, next
  17. If he gets passed the April deadline without another he's ok I think
  18. Yep, 2 game suspension if he got a second yellow, nuts to leave him on
  19. Sensible to hook gerrard now
  20. There's a spirit there that pretty much guarantees a performance and performance+ability=result unless something out of control occurs (red, bad ref, etc.)
  21. Better for us if they get an easy quarter and a tough semi as they would end up playing the second leg of the semi on the tues/wed after our game v them on the Sunday
  22. I don't think I have wanted United to get a result, I can't recall that I have anyway.
  23. Taking Mata off to bring Ferdinand on to hang on to 0-3 - nice!
