I enjoyed it but then I lap this kind of crap up, probably says more about me than the show...

As it kicks off proper tonight, it really hits home how long we've been away from this competition. The other mainstays of this competition, Madrid (9), Milan (7), Us (5), Bayern (4), Barcelona (4) and Ajax (4) are never out of this for more than one season if at all. Instead of this constant longing to get back in it, there should be an concerted effort to get a mindset into the current set of players that you are playing for one of the super powers and it is expected of you.

Thought that was decent. Great second half and all of the first half until their goal. Slow improvement but steady, sterling is a complete gem, hard as nails too

Results change everything, spurs had the best transfer window? Didn't look it today, Norwich should have beaten them. All they have to come in is an ageing Parker and Dempsey, you'd struggle to see where he will fit in, Levy signing me thinks rather than the manager.

I love a player who doesn't need to shift his body to pass or run with a ball, lets the ball run between his legs and positions himself to strike the ball without having to adjust if you follow, Xabi has that and from what I've seen so does Joe. Something you can't train me thinks.

Positives were Sterling and I thought Borini's movement was excellent even he didn't get much ball.

I genuinely think Aiden McGeady could be worth looking at, can see him having a big Euros and could be available on the cheap now. With proper coaching he has the ability/speed to be a top winger.
