    Kenny's "perceived" failings over the Suarex affair, right or wrong contributed to him getting the boot. BR is infinitely more savy and savy beats canny every day

    It is wrong, the man himself admitted he didn't feel comfortable with it and would be the first to admit his failings for the betterment of the club. I'd argue blind faith has probably got this club to where it is now from where it was.

    Rodgers is better, kenny lacked in that dept. I've heard Lawro, Hansen and Vennison all make reference to the fact that Kenny lacked in this regard, whether fellas want to admit it or not, he did. FSG clearly thought he did, think it was one of the main reasons they lost faith in him. It is almost like people think it is blaspheme to suggest any failing in Kenny on these pages. I adore the man but recognise his failings.

    Don't think we need to replace until the summer. We've still got 6 options for the middle 3 - Lucas, Gerrard, Allen, Shelvey, Henderson, Suso. Even if this jan is 2 out and 1 in, then happy days. We've long since longed for a clearing of any dead wood and thankfully FSG have the foresight to give BR the assurance not to make panic buys

    Sense of denial prevlalent here. I am over 25, into my early 40s and Kenny is my idol and always will be regardless of his failings in this regard

    It is not utter nonsense and most know it without admitting it. Doesn't mean you admire Kenny any less if you do.

    Kenny tried too hard to be canny at times which made him and everyone else a little uncomfortable. All his pals in the game would say as much. It's uncomfortable in itselft admitting that but it's the truth.

    Got to love Rodgers' confidence during press conferences, loved his wink to the foreign journo at the end of that conference just now after he eventually got BR to say he thinks Suarez is better than Van Persie (he wouldn't swap him!) As much as we loved Kenny, he was always uncomfortable in those situations no matter how canny he tried to be
