I fear the player's confidence will be on the floor after today's result.

I'm all for giving players time to settle but Lucas was dreadful today and shows no signs of making it. Spearing on the bench must have been thinking what can he do to ever get into the team.

I really don't see either how people make out how bad he was. He actually linked well with Torres and scored some goals last season. It'll be interesting if he is recalled.

Without Alonso, it seems such an effort to get the ball upfield, let alone create openings. The amount we pass between our back four is unbelievable as no one wants in when Xabi isn't in the side.

One thing to look at is that Wigan were our toughest opponents at home this season, they outplayed us until the sending off so hopefully they can do the same job on Utd. If our friend Emile can get a vital goal, i'm sure he'll be welcomed back with open arms.

Keys just said on Sky that Carra is going to be a pundit for the Man U - Chelsea game later on, should be good!

Stevie runs our team, even in the rare games when he doesn't score or create goals. Watch his performance in the Goodison Derby a few months ago, one of his best ever games for the club.

I think Johnson is one of the most improved players of the last 18 months. I didn't rate him at Chelsea but he has matured a lot and playing with a good back four including Campbell and Distin week in and week out, he has relaxed and played very good football. I think he'd fit right in with us but I just wonder if this 6.5+m could be spent elsewhere. Will Arbeloa sign a new contract because if not, the deal will make more sense.

Most satisyfing result in a long long time. It's so crucial as we couldn't lt Chelsea get ahead of us, especially when we play them in a few weeks away. Torres was fantastic in the 2nd half but my MOTM was Riera, he offered us so much down the left.

Only bright point has been Riera down the left, he's had two good plays down the left which Kuyt should at least had 1 of them. Will Rafa made a change straight away or wait till 65 mins is the question.

Arsenal at home when we beat them 4-0 and Southampton at home on New Years Day are other contenders. The club are releasing a DVD in December celebrating his 100 goals, that will sell like hot cakes with Christmas etc.
