Manchester United captain Gary Neville has downplayed a confrontation with a fan at the end of the 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough. As Neville was walking towards the tunnel, he moved towards the advertising hoardings to remonstrate with an unhappy supporter. The full back was eventually moved on by team-mate Rio Ferdinand, but Neville insists it was not a major issue. "There was a fan voicing his displeasure," Neville told Sky Sports News. "I'm passionate about the club and so was he. We had a disagreement, simple as that. "On Sunday, when we score a goal, he will be jumping up and down and I will be giving my all again. "Everyone is disappointed at the end of a game and sometimes tempers overflow." Neville does not regret going over to the fan and is keen that not too much stock is placed on the incident. He added: "I don't regret anything I do. You can go through playing football and do everything by the book and show no passion. "Sometimes you don't know you are doing it and react in a way. No one's hurt. "He's entitled to his opinion. Obviously, he's seen a disappointing performance and we're disappointed ourselves. That's football. "I'm sure United fans are going into the pub after the game arguing among themselves. That's the way it is when we draw a match at this football club." http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?h...lays+down+spat

'kin ell I could have told them that two days ago.... its obvious he aint going to be able to play, I just don't want the media to slag off the team when we get knocked out saying that if Rooney had played we would have won it... Its ruined many peoples summer.... and I couldn't give a f***.
would have been interesting to see if he had had that injury at Anfield.... we applauded Smith off the pitch with some grace and class.... would Rooney have got the same? I can't stand Rooney, think hes a nob head but wishing injury and broken legs on him is shocking in my opinion... Viva Espana
The mancs must be gutted that we got a player like Momo for so little and with him being so young too.... I hate using the word 'Momo' and 'Manc' in the same sentence... and I apologise.. They will go out and buy Diarra for $30mill and partner him with Fletcher...
