Good Shout, if we could get him dirt cheap!

IMO If we replace both full backs we had against United, with say Alves and Lahm (with Agger coming back in) I think that team would be strong enough to go to places like Old Trafford and win. Just the addition of two new players would dramatically improve our forward play whilst restricting the opposition. However, the likelihood of us getting those two in is debatable.

If we had two attacking fullbacks with genuine pace and guile, our play would improve dramatically.

In the cold light of day, we still have not registered a win against the teams above us this season. We will get beat at Arsenal and Spurs, so the derby next Sunday is massive.

God only knows what Arbeloa was doing on the third goal. He was a liability all game.

Played in floating righthand forward position for Spain in the world cup with Torres central. Not sure of the formation they play now.

Cant fault what he said as he is spot on. But when the owners, TV commentators, over paid journos and other vultures flying round, we should be having a siege mentality, not printing articles like this, as they will get a weeks worth of headlines out of this, how long before 'Gerrard to leave' gets printed. Everyone should get on with what they are paid to do, shut up and secure fourth and advance in the European cup.

Melia is being used in a PR stunt. It is a strange article, he even goes as far as to say that we need two attacking full backs, an attacking midfielder and centre forward, which is fair enough because we do, but seems strange that this is in the echo.

Cant afford £5K. However, I live in the North East and I know there are a few Liverpool supports clubs in the area and if a group of around 25-50 people from these clubs got together to make a trust, and are willing to put £100-200 in for one share and we elect a representative, then that would be feasible. Am sure there are other supports groups not just in England but around the world that could possibly do the same thing. Just a thought anyway?

Was talking to a couple of Hartlepool players over the weekend and they suggested that Antwi makes a lot of mistakes and can’t see him ever making it in the premier league, probably the championship if anything. They said he is a good lad though.

Just got a text of my mate... 'Theres one called spirit of shankly, based in Newcastle, they do pick ups from middlesbrough'. Lost contact phone number but they are still on the go. P.S The student union at Middlesbrough is pretty good to watch football in with dirt cheep drinks, as is the Star and Garter over the road.
