My thinking with Firmino there is that I want him to be like a third attacker rather than a midfielder. Someone to make runs beyond Benteke (and Origoal) in attack. I don't think Coutinho, Milner or Hendo can do that. Hendo makes the runs but from a deeper position.

He would probably had a much better career if it wasn't for some pretty serious mental issues (depression) and a very difficult family (mostly his mom) that affected him while he stayed with LFC and later. His mom acted more like a footballers wife rather than a mom, she kept bringing people of various sorts home to him and there was drug use in his home. She also pressured him into spending way above his limit causing him stress which made the depression worse. It wasn't until his girlfriend realised he was seriously considering suicide that he got the treatment he needed (when he was contracted to NY Red Bulls). He's probably a good example of how little we know about the non-football part of a footballers development.

I never cared about internationals. Then Iceland all of a sudden start this whole "lets [almost] get to the tournaments"-thing and I'm kinda obliged to start caring. Can't wait for us to fail terribly in France next summer so I can go back to hating international football because of injuries to LFC players.
