Off topic - but only slightly - does anyone know why Jari Litmanen didn't have a long lasting Anfield career? I always thought the guy oozed class - one of the best players I saw in the mid 90s etc - and was proper excited when he signed for us but he didn't last that long did he?

A lot depends on your age really and when you witnessed - and can vividly remember - a player at their peak. I can only remember Dalglish at the latter stages of his playing career and rely on DVDs and my old man for Kenny's 'best bits'. I'd have to rate John Barnes as my all-time favourite but, had I been born a few years earlier, I'm sure King Kenny would have nicked it.
