    2024/25 Season

Haha ah I stand by it. They’re suddenly a very tricky team. Battered city for about half an hour.

Hope we need to beat Crystal Palace on the last day to secure the title. They’re rubbish.
  3. He has. You say Virgil has to play every game cos we don’t have ANY other defender who’s good enough. Just not true. The other two I agree with but Konate is class and has had a superb season. Injuries are obviously his issue. He was clearly rushed back after his injury cos we needed him so badly.

Brilliant game tbf. Palace a few inches away from 3-0. Not being bothered what city do is still a mad feeling

Yeah he’s had a few quotes now that suggest he knows they’re gonna do some proper business in summer. He also said it’ll be easier trying to sign players who now know they’ll defo be playing with Salah. As an aside, Palace on the last day, even at home, would be really tricky if it was a must win. They’re so f***ing tough to play against atm. Betting City right now and they’ll give Arsenal a proper game in a few weeks too.
  7. Yep have little faith anything meaningful will happen now. Can see them taking a bigger fine which won’t bother them at all.
  8. City decision being delayed until the summer the telegraph reckons.
  9. Some proper revisionism here. Konate has been brilliant for most of the season.
  10. Cunha (and Delap) seem to be getting heavily linked to the Mancs now. He defo has Manc vibes about him tbh.
  11. He said we’d win the league. I’d put money on you telling him he was talking b****x when he said it too. He’s gonna be right. You’re living in his world.
  12. Yeah that’s defo what you’d be telling him. You’ll get games from the off but you’re also talking over from the big man. At some point though vvd will have to stop playing every single minute.
  13. If Konate left we’d need two centre halves.
  14. He’s a Liverpool fan yeah? What a f***ing dweeb.
  15. This is good.
  16. You’re wrong though. In the very first page of the 2024/25 thread he posts ‘I think we’ll win it’. You replied mocking him too!
  17. Thanks for checking, Cobs.
  18. Yep, Ornstein said he's met Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Spurs. They've failed to get Guehi, Gomez and Quansah over the past 12 months so I'd say centre half might be their priority tbh. Still not a sexy move though, is it.
  19. Was Newcastle one of them? Or spurs? Suppose a lot might depend on Konate really. He's a young lad but he'll want to go somewhere he plays.
  20. Chat about him does seem to be ramping up. All these clubs supposedly meeting him does seem to be 'come to us, pal' considering he's got a RC. Be a disgrace if Brighton stuck their nose into this tbh. Can't lay the blame on Hughes if that happens.
  21. I think it was just default optimism rather than being based on what he thought Slot would bring. Don't think I was here for that. He did lose the run of himself at times, but could also be funny.
  22. Is Crouchinho still not back on here? He said we'd win the title, the absolute sage.
  23. Had to google 'follicularly'. Still not sure I know what it means.
  24. f***ing beautiful that was. Had the whole kit! Everything about it is perfect. This from wikipedia won't help this: Manchester United again expressed an interest in signing Hysén in 1989, and invited the player over to England for a tour of Old Trafford and buffet lunch. He returned to Italy with the deal all but sealed; Manchester United chairman Martin Edwards even rang Alex Ferguson to report that Hysén had shaken hands on the deal. Negotiations stalled on the £300,000 transfer, and Edwards and Ferguson flew out to Italy to conclude matters in person. However, upon arrival in Florence, they were told by Hysén's agent that the player had signed for Liverpool a few days previously, prompting the United management to make a move for Gary Pallister instead.
  25. Convinced it will be that Ekitike lad now. Ticks too many boxes.
