  3. The one thing that puzzles me on this is that if Rafa is so stubborn on this issue why did he not notice the problem in his initial contract? Just seems strange to me. It appears autonomy in transfer dealings is obviously a very high priority of his, yet he signed it away for five years.

    Keane

I know its laughable. This whole debacle is an embarrassment for the club and Rafa in my opinion. And is only going to be detrimental to our future chances this season.
  5. To be fair if a side did the same to us I'd be pissed off. Thing is, couple of goals against the run of play aside, we dominated the game, if Zaki doesn't come up with the moment of magic the sending off makes no difference and we probably would of won the game anyway. Swings and roundabouts is football, if a journalist in a s***house paper wants to look further into it then more fool him!
  6. Ha i reckon its pretty good!
  7. To be honest if we carried on playing like we did in the first half we would be up by 3 or 4 now I reckon. Sadly we've made them look a lot better by just letting them have the ball for the past 30 mins. Hopefully we put this game to bed now... Babel just should have.
  8. We're playing f***ing poor at the moment. Luckily no-one has punished us yet but we need to 'click' before the 13th because there is no way we're losing to the mancs this early in the season.
  9. Absolutely terrible oversight from Carlsberg this. People can say we're only one of their many sponsors or whatever, but I'd imagine we're there most lucrative deal and have been over the past 16 or so years. The people arguing the business sense of the deal may be right on a purely business level, but surely you need to be looking at this as Liverpool supporters. Carlsberg, our main sponsors of nearly two decades have chosen to run a joint promotion with the paper that pissed on the memories of 96 of our own and the reputation and actions of many, many others. The deal may well make 'business sense', but any Liverpool fan that doesn't feel anger at how this has been allowed to go ahead needs to take a step back and realise why people are so emotive about the issue.
  10. 1. Reina 2. Alonso 3. Carra
  11. Paddy's at Sparta, Vladi's at Slavia... They're no longer mates
  12. needs a song if you ask me. He's small, He's red, His feet don't stick out the bed, Stephen Darby, Stephen Darby. Perfect.
  13. Regicide is the Killing of a Monarch.
  14. Robbie Keane is always scoring, Robbie Keane is always scoring, Then you'll here the Kopites roaring, Keano is our King... LA LA LA LAL LALA LA ALAL LAL AL LA LA KEANO IS OUR KING. Everyone knows the song - gotta be a winner.
  15. I loved all our seasons under Evans for some inexplicable reason. Was when I first started going to the match, Fowler breaking through, Tail end of Barnes and Rush's careers. Dunno why but for me these seasons gave me the biggest buzz, probably coz i was only like 8 years old but still! I prefer that Liverpool team to our current one if that makes any sense at all!? f*** knows, bring back Uncle Roy I say
  16. I think he means the first team
  17. Yeah pretty much. As I say, there's no shame in losing to a good side in a European Knock out game. Going out in the Group stage would be slack as were much better than that, and we'd lose out on a bit of pocket, but again if come the end of the season we were bang in the title race I wouldn't care. I want to do a fair bit better in the league, thats my 'minimum expectation'. Anything else would be a bonus.
  18. Just my opinion lad. Generally playing Marseille, or Porto, or PSV etc. are pretty dull. It only steps up a gear once you get to the Quarters and you get a cup tie atmosphere against a good side. That's why for me Quarters are the minimum required, but I wouldn't really be bothered say if we lost to Barca at that stage as long as we do better in the league than we have done for a long time. I'd sooner be in the title race come April than get to the final of the European Cup again, regardless of whether we end up winning the league or not.
  19. Premiership: 3rd. If we finish 4th again something has obviously gone stale. FA Cup: 5th Round but Honestly don't care. It'd be nice to get a game at the new Wembley but not a priority. Champions League: Quarters. Bored of the Euro cup now, doesn't bother me unless theres a chance of drawing the Mancs in the semi. Carling Cup: Not being in it would be a plus if thats possible. That's the minimum for me. If we are battling for fourth again it will be a f***ing long season. And probably one to forget.
  20. Why does it bother people that Spurs or Villa fans, or certain sections of the media are giving Rafa stick!? I think Fergusons a w***** whatever he does, I doubt any mancs are losing any sleep. Just ignore it all they want is a reaction.
  21. This part seems to imply that there will no longer be general sales for League games!? Has this been confirmed as I was under the impression that there will still be the same sale procedures but the membership/fancards were just used for recording Loyalty as they always have been. And then when Fancards end after the coming season you'll be paying £29 to record loyalty each year, but there will still be general sales where anyone can apply free of charge.

    Gareth Barry

I like Finnan but I have to agree with Knox. Last season although he was adequate, his performances were a shadow of what he has shown in previous years. The Irish reds aren't going to be happy, but thats the way the cookie crumbles. I'm still gutted my Whitney Houston inspired 'I wanna dance with Steve Finnan' song never caught on despite a fair few attempts trying to get it going. Steve Finnan, you will be missed.
  23. £11m for Crouch is a very good deal in my opinion! I was saying to my mate the other day that no mugs gona pay more than £10m for him with a year left. Enter Harold Redknapp! From what I've heard about Suarez he is a complete w***** so not sure about him. If we can get Keane for around £11m I think that would be a great piece of business though. I'd happily keep Alonso, get Keane for £11m and tell Martin O'Neil to f*** off on the Barry deal. We shall see anyhow. Give it a week and I'll just repost this exact post.
