I seem to remember reading a quote from someone at the Premier League that there was a possibility we were playing Chalrton in April which might hinder our chances of getting the Blackburn game moved. If it's been moved to that date then isn't there a chance the Blackburn game is going to be moved from the Hillsborough Anniversary ? Thought the FA had planned to play the Charlton game in April ?

Cech, Reina and Robinson are the best 3 keepers in the league, with VDS and Given probably next. Then there are 6 or 7 who can have days when nothing is getting past them ( Freidel, Maik Taylor etc ) Reina is a brilliant keeper and one of the fastest i've seen, combining it with good, decisive judgement. Throwing and kicking are better than Cech and Robinson.

The players should be confident but not complacent going into this game. Man Utd's midfield is weak, they'll have 1 or 2 new signings in defence. The last time i felt this confident about us beating the Mancs was the 3-1 win at Anfield where Owen got a couple. Against City their defence had very little protection from the midfield - an area where we should be comfortably superior to them.

I agree. Kewell, Sinama, Cisse and Crouch. Man City are far from a great team and they took advantage of the weaknesses in Man Utd's midfield and defence. Vidic will probably start and he'll know he's been in a game if Crouch and Cisse are up for it. Surely Garcia will be rested ?

Capdevila - solid, talented left back who wouldn't be cup-tied for the CL. Ribery - brilliant forward who can play anywhere across the front line and would do very nicely as a right sided forward. Has played in the UEFA for Marseille but under UEFA Champions League regulations 15.12 and 15.13 we could register him for the CL.
