  5. It's all getting a bit snippy round here, seems a bit harsh to be fair, but quite typical social media atmosphere of the present day. Lets all have a go at each other because our opinions now are seen as factual and offensive and must be attacked by those not in agreement. Aren't we all on the same team round here, supporting the same club we've loved for entire lives once aware? Good to agree and disagree, but it's like watching Libs and Conservs going at each other about Trump on here sometimes.
  6. Football's a business now, and we are ran by business-men, not passionate lovers of the game. Getting to the knockout stages of the CL and finishing high up the table are much more lucrative than winning the milk-little-league-carling, whatever the hell its called these days cup.
  7. I watched VVD in the brief cameo he got against Palace, maybe not but he constantly had the arms out, communicating, getting things in order...so even if not hard as nails, he at least seems to do what needs to be done back there which as many have said, is severely lacking in the current choices.

  9. In the Sky report, this bit confused me from the 'close family member' "He has tremendous love for the club and its fans, but like Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez have pointed out in the past, Liverpool does not let its players leave on amicable terms." Did they both say that??
  10. Two long balls were played in his direction, groans from the crowd as they appeared well strong. Both he caught up with, boy is damn fast.
  11. I thought the 21st minute clap was good, cheesy but good. I made sure Evans felt some wrath every time he touched the ball, and Zaha, once the locals caught on to it they joined in. I am considering printing up some song sheets for them (just for those around me) for Saturday, felt a bit lonely belting out FOAR and YNWA virtually alone in our section, the "pseudo-Kop" did pretty well vocally during the match. deathscar, where were you sitting?? Do you live out here? Or just visiting?? Me and the Mrs were in 111, and same again Saturday night.
  12. As will I
  13. Excellent point, and this after we reject 15M (I think I read...) for Moreno. So if we think Robertson ain't worth 8M, and Moreno is worth more than 15M, doesn't that effectively mean we think Moreno is better? And thus by that logic, we should just keep Moreno.
  14. Ah no, Poor Robbie... RIP sir, and thanks for giving us a wonderful son that provided much enjoyment!!
  15. Must be the FSG congratulatory gesture liaison officer
  16. Phil and Bobby are gonna be knackered from the travel...
  17. Absolutely, use the last few games as a solid premier league level test as to their potential, a pre-season friendly against Rushden and Diamonds for 45 mins isn't gonna do that. Stick Moreno back in, put Milner back into the middle. Can't get much worse! Well, look on the bright side, at least with no European commitments next season we can put in a good push for the title...
  18. Crazy as it may seem, I'd be tempted to move Firmino back inside, bring on Moreno in Coutinho's spot. Pace, a craicking shot, decent cross, certainly not Phil but he is quick, will press and will be dying to show his worth. Drop Origi back to the bench...
  19. They'll still be a bit stung from their last result too....
  20. We are just trying to convince ourselves that he won't be missed as much come the African Cup of Nations by convincing ourselves he's been poor lately.
  21. Right now he's not looking much better than Migs, but the fact remains De Gea was quite crap for most of his first season. Takes a while for a keeper to settle. Klopp cant go back to Migs now because it'd wreck karius confidence. unless he goes on a run of crap performances costing goal after goal, he needs to continue in goal and improve.
  22. It must not be forgotten Vignals great rolling contribution to the winner getting Macca just a few yards closer.... Great memory. Wasn't Biscans second yellow in that match when he stamped, albeit two-footed but missed the Everton player by a country mile but the ensuing flop got him sent off??
  23. I believe it was Ian Rush that said he had the easiest job on the pitch, play a stinker, miss twenty shots but score the winner in injury time and you're the hero. Keeper on the other hand the hardest, save 25 shots, command every corner but let one in in injury time and you're the villain. Bobby has met that first statement quite aptly in the first half....but was involved in the decisive moments, thus the hero

  25. I think we have to look at it this way... In the same game, we've seen some fine examples of individual goal, born from the players skill and team goal born from 11 players moving the ball towards the target with the ultimate reward. Truly hard to find a #1 from the lot of them.
