But the card waivers tend to be foreign, so it's unacceptable. The only dissent permissible is good old fashioned British shouting at the ref with your arms out -
Finishing the game with 4th and 5th choice centre backs on the pitch, after just three games, is not a promising sign

Yet another game where there were different standards applied to the two teams. Happens so often against us, but you end up sounding like a conspiracy theorist if you point it out. Feels like it's been much worse since Jurgen had a go at that ref back end of last season -

Doesn't particularly suit salah - but could work with Diaz left, nunez/jota and gakpo front two, dom right. Then pick a centre mid two. Still lacks tacklers in the middle of the park (as we have none) and no natural role for salah as he never looks as comfortable centrally

I've lost all enthusiasm for the new season. I don't actually care about which individual players we sign, as except for the likes of Messi and mbappe there is always another one, but to be so unprepared for the season is negligent

Is part of it simply a height issue? Women are on average shorter, but play in goals sized for men. Obvs not relevant to the colombia goalkeeper's mistake, but lots of the cross-shot goals don't happen in the men's game -

And this is the fundamental problem with all the governing bodies - they are both regulator and promoter of their different competitions, so there are conflicts of interest and vested interests all over the place

I think the problem is that the Chelsea deal for fernandez completely skewed everyone's valuations of their midfielders. And we haven't, or refuse, to adjust to that new reality

The financially doped clubs are to blame. In order to compete you need a level of player and squad that is far beyond what you used to and that plays into people's expectations, as ultimately we all want to win shiny stuff

They have moved on most of the older players who were the high earners, so I'm assuming they have brought the wage bill down significantly. Might find out in their next set of accounts
