I think you forget how Cisse was even more frustrating. Only ran in straight lines, offside more than Nunez and could only blam his shots. Nunez has far more to his game, even if his decision making is questionable

Don't think we can read that much into selections for first three games. With how late some returned, there wasn't opportunity to work with them much. With all the games between now and Xmas everyone will get chances to impress. It's then up to them. If Nunez still isn't getting starts after that period it will be clear the manager doesn't fancy him, don't think we can say that now

There is a difference between being confident in your all round play and being confident in your finishing. He hasn't scored for us for a while and used to score more frequently at previous clubs

I think it was the opposite - lacking confidence in his finishing, made him second guess himself and try to make the opportunity better because of the presence of the defender sliding in. Just needed to stick it in the net first time and consider his options afterwards

The problem with 'should' is the oil rich state run clubs moving the goalposts. It is no longer enough (and hasn't been for a long time) to be sensibly run and self sufficient.

The other factor that could be in play is not knowing who will be manager next season.

Comfortable third at minimum, anything more depends on injuries etc. Definite style of knocking it about slowly to suck players in, then sudden increase in tempo when opportunity presents. Lots of through balls could help nunez

Haaland cost way more than Nunez once agent fees and wages are taken into account. And who is the alternative we should have signed? Not exactly many outstanding candidates I get Nunez has burned heads out, but you are way OTT here

My first world cup too. Was already obsessed with football, but the FA Cup final, World Cup and panini stickers all helped cement it. I watched as much of the world cup as I could and (despite being English) was mainly supporting Scotland until they went out! -
How quick is he? The Dutch maguire or more mobile?

Might be wanting regular first team football, which he isn't getting here next season. Not sure why we sell rather than loan though
