  2. All about uefa making more money. Again!
  3. Agree on the physicality, i wonder if there was an age difference going on?
  4. He played a lot like charlie adam...
  5. What Nat has done this season has been remarkable. However if we have serious aspirations of winning league or CL next season I don't see why we would want him higher than 6th choice behind five much more mobile options. If we go back to defending on the halfway line he would be too exposed and would put massive onus on the other centre back to be on the cover, which leaves us very vulnerable. To play the way Jurgen wants us to the centre backs have to be big, very mobile and good on the ball. At best he is big and ok on ball. None of that takes away from everything he has contributed this season
  6. Mark Wright was still around (and injured) as well wasn't he?
  7. November / December 2017. All the centre backs were injured - its how gini and can played in back 3 against Brighton. Plus same time in 2015 - its why we signed caulker in jan 16. They weren't as long term so didn't have the same knock on impact on fitness of midfield, but we've had these clusters before at centre back
  8. We have had it previously under klopp, the injuries just weren't season ending
  9. Its very likely the 3 long term injured will have niggling muscle injuries once they are back, so 5 centre backs until january might make sense. Then reassess at that point
  10. The LFC social media channels have been putting a lot of really positive things out about him at the moment - including an interview with backroom staff about how great a person he is and how dedicated he is. Definitely feels like buttering him up
  11. Leicester look most likely. Depends if spurs get a good manager in, but everyone else looks way off.
  12. Quite possible they are leaving him out as they know he's off, so are starting to plan for next season without him

  17. Absolutely. Also no goal threat from centre back which would normally be worth 5+ goals a season
  18. I've thought this for a long time, deliberately poor implementation
  19. Done. Have said its a big bag of s***e
  20. Is this actually true?
  21. One site i've just looked at had de bruyne costing 68m. Wikipedia has Rodri as their record signing. Doesn't change the overall point that they haven't (yet) signed a felix/ griezman/ coutinho/ dembele/ neymar/ mbappe/ pogba/ bale/ ronaldo.
  22. For all their money though their record signing remains de bruyne. They've bought a lot around 50/60m but haven't spent the sort of sum on an individual player that psg or the 3 big spanish clubs have. Maybe they haven't needed to up to now, but they have seemingly chosen not to so far.

  24. A region in greece - which is why greece objected to the former yugoslav republic using it
  25. 2019 when they were finally able to agree it, previously greece had objected to them using the name macedonia
