  1. now i hope that madrid beat the mancs over 2 legs in the CL, and heinze to score the winning goal.
  2. defo a true red.
  3. a tear in my eye.
  4. doesn't matter which club, i said 'spanish' cos rafa might have links with a spanish club. didn't we have some sort of agreement to buy players from an argie club? this prolly cannot happen, just toying with the idea of pissing off ginsoak.
  5. rafa should get a spanish club say, athletico madrid to buy heinze, and then loan him to us before the transfer window is closed.
  6. ginsoak should have sold him to us especially since he didn't want him, now we are likely to get an even better than heinze. when we didn't get that c*** neil we got a better play in arbeloa.
  7. he wanted to learn how rafa is so respected and successful as a manager.
  8. the mancs were dominating the game, and were pounding mancity's goal. it'd take sometime for tevez to get his sharpness again like he was at west ham imo. lethargic maybe right, after all it wasn't long ago he was involved in the copa america. that said, i think the mancs and chelsea are going more for the cl this season.
  9. torres and kuyt. their understanding gets better with each game. kuyt is working very hard and is such a pest for the opposing team but he still lacked that little bit of sharpness. hope he improves in the coming weeks, and scores soon. if not we still have voro.
  10. out of curiousity can arbeloa play CB? i read somewhere on a forum that he can "play across the back 4". not sure if this is accurate.
  11. Now Rafa can hear those title drums, Fernando David Maddock 20/08/2007 Amid the hype and hysteria, the breathless ferocity of this incredible contest and the staggering incompetence of the referee, it was easy to overlook perhaps the most significant aspect of a fascinating afternoon. Liverpool will feel aggrieved sure, because the Ocean's 11 team could not have executed a more perfect robbery than that which Rob Styles allowed Chelsea in stealing a draw they simply did not deserve. Yet the injustice of the official's decision will surely be countered in the mind of Rafa Benitez by the performance of his record summer signing Fernando Torres. Ok, they have effectively lost three points' ground on the London club, but over the course of the season, the impact of the striker will be far more pertinent. Let's not mince words. In the past two seasons Liverpool were simply not equipped to challenge for the title because they did not have the threat going forward to sustain it. In one drop of the shoulder and burst of acceleration, Torres showed he can provide it. Chelsea came away from Anfield relieved at their good fortune, but they will know too that Liverpool now have a striker who could transform them, who will provide the end product to their build up play. For much of this game the pace was too hot for a player making his Anfield debut, and more used to the gentler rhythms of Spanish football. Yet when Steven Gerrard found him in space on the left hand edge of the penalty area, he didn't just beat Tal Ben Haim to find the space to score, but destroyed him. It was a finish of a natural goalscorer, and it will buy Torres time and space in the Premier League, because after watching that, defenders will now know they must drop off the striker or risk being embarrassed as the Chelsea defender was. Torres will improve as he acclimatises to the English game and its physical intensity. But already, in pre-season and in training, he has shown the sharpness and instinct that Liverpool have lacked up front for so long. The word from within the Anfield dressing room is that his team-mates are impressed with Torres, that he has already shown them enough to invest confidence in him, to believe that he is the missing piece of their complex jigsaw. This season is perhaps too soon, but at last Liverpool are serious title contenders once more. That said, Styles' penalty decision is a huge setback. Words are difficult to find to describe Styles performance, though Jamie Carragher found one: Cheat. While you can understand the defender's emotion, Carra is wrong. Styles is not a cheat, he is simply not good enough for this level, if he doesn't know football well enough to realise that Florent Malouda was blocking off Steve Finnan, and not the other way round. If even Didier Drogba doesn't raise his arms in support of a penalty claim, you know there's no chance an offence was committed. Mirror
  12. we are not getting mikey, that's for sure.
  13. jerk him to death with hand cream.
  14. heh your kungfu is strong ...
  15. can we add terry to that? each penetrating the other ...
  16. chelsea aren't as fearsome as before. we'll trash them at stamford bridge. our strikers will gel even better then.
  17. that's not hard to believe, or is it easier to believe there are such idiot referees at the highest level ...
  18. agreed. and he's been doing things like this for years. the pl seems to have a larger share of bad referees than other professional leagues.
  19. we were a bit messy at times but we really ought to have won that one. @#$%^& robstyles. lads looked like they really wanted to win this one. the better team didn't win. while we were getting our attacking players on, mourinho put a fecking defender on. looking at mourinho's face he prolly realised he got a fecking gift here. even went fatty scored that penalty, jose didn't show much reaction.
  20. england need a team of owens.
  21. heinze can also play CB. i think rafa, without declaring it, is going for broke having most if not all positions covered, prolly in case of injuries also. and rafa likes versatile players who can play in more than one positions. it's all about giving him different options for different opponents imo.
  22. Good lad Carra. And I hope Benayoun scores against England in the qualifiers, enough for Israel to win. That'd be the icing on the cake.
  23. jose knows his own scouts are shiites.
