  1. Supported the reds from across the Irish Sea for 45 years+ now... Have seen many greats come and go. I've no idea what the alchemy is for how a player 'leaves well' when they move during their productive / peak years. This one is specifically for those of you who live and breathe in the city, knowing there will be a range of views. In the genuine interest of getting a better understanding, rather than lighting the touch paper, what are the views on Trent leaving like this? In other threads I've read people comment that this is offending scouse sensibilities. Trying to understand what that means. Is it that a local lad would leave at this age? Or that he'd leave when we're doing well? Or leave for free? Or not stay to be the captain? These things are nebulous and hard to define, but what is the alchemy at a local level? Genuinely interested
  2. I'd enjoy it more, and would care much less, if it was Spurs beating Athletic or vice versa
  3. Would Jurgen like to manage trent, Bellingham and mbappe... If course he would. It's just whether he wants to be a club manager again
  4. So Athletic are 4th in La Liga... Hopefully they'll hammer them over two legs... (or win by one offside goal with a foul in the build up in the 7th minute of the 4 minutes added on time... And VAR says goal )
  5. Kinda want spurs to go through tonight so they don't bin Postecoglou and have some form of bounce into our game Totally missed the possibility that arsenal lose to Ipswich, we win and it's all done

    Welcome VvD

hey - he's only a young and £650 a week in any lad's pocket is nothing to be sniffed at

    Welcome VvD

Yeah I figured it'd be two consecutive Fridays and giving some breathing space after April 15th. Keep all the right focus in all the right places
  8. Turn that u upside down

  10. You'd fancy Ipswich if it goes to pens
  11. Trent - wages Kelleher - sale (replaced last year) Nunez & Diaz (sale - interesting conversation on talksport this week about the two year cycle of overseas signings in the Saudi league and how 2025 is set for another big spend on overseas players) These are the 4 most likely for me.
  12. Honestly reckon win today and we're virtual champions.. Arsenal's win rate has them finishing on 75 points (they're going at 1.97 a game). They are only in a title race in the illogical part of our brains that exists because of a few seasons going head to head for 90+ points with City. There is no title race.
  13. Win tomorrow Thump leicester 27 April.... Party time
  14. Hansen, is that you? (for the lad's sake.. I hope not!)
  15. It'd be lovely if city finished out of the CL places and got a points ban for next season, and came back from that club World Cup thing totally shattered, and were expelled from football..
  16. This one is fairly unusual... But the lad does miss a lot of games for a number one goalie
  17. And when he's only half the player He's neither good nor bad..
  18. In terms of league seasons and what happens next this one is weirdly more akin to 2013-14. The runs were different. Rogers team was wild but exhilarating. There were so many flaws, but with a core group of about 13 players, led by a player who was the best in the world late Sept-end March, we nearly did what no one expected us to do. But it was clear it was a now or never moment and that a rebuild was going to have to follow. This season we have, without fuss, simply pulled away from everyone else, a team that is flawed with a core group of players led by a man possessed, towards a title noone expected, but with a seemingly big summer rebuild required. Has anyone seen Sean O'Driscoll?
  19. On that basis win tomorrow and we're virtual champions.. Be nice if we can get two trophies
  20. Never book anything for the 25th May.. That's Istanbul Day!
  21. One of the great things about last night was the instant deep seated care for the outcome. It's been so long since we played a league game (and the CL and Carabao games were so disappointing) that the league became out of sight, out of mind. But as soon as it was all back on the line again, it was back to being petrified and exhilirated in equal measure.. bring on the mighty leg winning reds #20
  22. Right now he sounds like that priest in father ted who has the most boring voice in the world
  23. It feels like we won the league and now this is a little summer tournament
