It'd be lovely if city finished out of the CL places and got a points ban for next season, and came back from that club World Cup thing totally shattered, and were expelled from football.. -
This one is fairly unusual... But the lad does miss a lot of games for a number one goalie
-
And when he's only half the player He's neither good nor bad..

In terms of league seasons and what happens next this one is weirdly more akin to 2013-14. The runs were different. Rogers team was wild but exhilarating. There were so many flaws, but with a core group of about 13 players, led by a player who was the best in the world late Sept-end March, we nearly did what no one expected us to do. But it was clear it was a now or never moment and that a rebuild was going to have to follow. This season we have, without fuss, simply pulled away from everyone else, a team that is flawed with a core group of players led by a man possessed, towards a title noone expected, but with a seemingly big summer rebuild required. Has anyone seen Sean O'Driscoll?

On that basis win tomorrow and we're virtual champions.. Be nice if we can get two trophies

Never book anything for the 25th May.. That's Istanbul Day!

Match Topic Liverpool vs Everton - Premier League, 2nd April @ 8pm
Chewie replied to ynwa.tv's topic in Liverpool FC
One of the great things about last night was the instant deep seated care for the outcome. It's been so long since we played a league game (and the CL and Carabao games were so disappointing) that the league became out of sight, out of mind. But as soon as it was all back on the line again, it was back to being petrified and exhilirated in equal measure.. bring on the mighty leg winning reds #20 -

What about that lad ben Davies.... Even if he has left, surely this could be his big moment #bringbackben -
Your wish... My command and all that. Be advised though, the clue is in the author profile Tom Burrows is a football news writer for The Athletic UK. He was previously a staff editor for three years. Prior to that, he worked on news and investigations for national newspapers. He is most widely known as the author of War and Peace.

Basically he takes a picture of himself wearing his Liverpool kit, says "OK Google - make the switch" and the AI turns it into him wearing a Madrid top, Trent winks into a camera and says "Esto significa más" then for some reason everyone lost their heads over it..
-
And also as we didn't lead into it from the league game.. Honestly feels like the PL was last season! Maybe we get to win it twice
-
Jeez this break feels like we're entering 24/25:Endgame and it's 5 years later. Reckon the PL won't allow this to happen again

For about 3 months after Robbo signed moreno played like the love child of Roberto Carlos and Stuart Pearce.. Robbo couldn't get in the team. Then he reverted to being albie... All the same, hard not to like albie Get out! Get out! https://x.com/ESPNUK/status/1397842918648553473?t=ZNORT9yJKz1iNNHxEZFjww&s=19

players who've f***ed off & the reactions
Chewie replied to Sir Tokyo Sexwale's topic in Liverpool FC
I think for a fair number this is precisely why the Trent move is jarring. He's literally defined himself as being that person for whom this is a lifes passion and that winning here means more -
I did see that suggested somewhere.... Given the winners are likely to make around 100m from it we should a ask for £100,000,001
-
FSG or the tweeters? (or both!)
-
Same here... By rights I should have been around to make sure things didn't go so badly awry between Kenny and souness, but there's time yet
-
We didn't start the fire...
-
It's both. Players have an extraordinary amount of agency. He signed the last contract to leave himself with free agency options at this age and stage. We should have renewed 18 months ago or sold

Ian Rush left and I worried we might never score another goal. For 6 seasons or so, Rush just always scored and when he did, his last league Cup final game notwithstanding, we never lost. Irreplaceable. Then we went and restructured the team and became the best Liverpool team I've ever seen possibly up until jurgen's all conquering reds. Trent has been amazing, but not as pivotal or as consistent as Rush. There's no point trying to downplay the lad and his abilities just cos he's leaving. But players move on, and top clubs get new ones who become new heroes. I've loved his play and loathed it at times, when he and the management combined (and this is on Jurgen) tried to accommodate a version of trent that seemed to me to belong more to the players desire and ego (which top players need to have), but which left us woefully imbalanced. So he'll leave, we'll thank him for the memories but with something of a sour taste in the mouth, and we'll move on.
