We haven't sold Philips for 15m yet. Those players mentioned in a normal year/market would be worth a lot more but the French and spanish leagues in real financial trouble. Those clubs haven't sold many players so the expectation would be prices drop late in the window. Would be amazed if we got 10m for Phillips or even Origi. There just aren't the clubs with the cash. Think we did really well to get 12m for Wilson and 10m for gruic.

It now. Brighton rinsed arsenal for White and have spent only part of it so don't reckon they need to sell at a lower than expected price. In this market he should be what say 20m? They will want at least twice that. The Spanish and French clubs are ones more likely to cave in on prices late in the window

Shakiri was less than 10m, an established international, perforned at euro20 and winner of trophies across top teams, though injury prone and high wages. Reckon Sarr, David, doku, ikai Williams, that Swedish forward, could all be in the 20m bracket late in the window as there is little money around and teams need to sell to improve their financial situation. Useful backups and improvement on Origi. I'm amazed that Phillips hasn't been sold for 12 to 15m but I reckon the buying teams are looking at the situation with us having the 4 established CBs and believe we will accept a cut price offer late in the day.

The wider point is that there are so many players available due to the need to cut costs/wages with little money around at the 5 to 20m level. It is a buyers market. Teams are waiting for the last minute in the expectation that prices will fall through the floor. Think there will be some bargains out the late in the window.

The flip side of other teams needing money and is picking players up cheaply is the inability to find clubs that can afford to buy our Deadwood. Not just the Origi's but also the Wilson's, Ojos etc.

Agree we will have to reduce our expectations for the prices not the likes of gruic, Wilson etc. Barca and Madrid don't have the means anymore so moving one of our forwards on for big money to replace with a Sancho/haaland/Mbappe is a non starter. Think the likes of Aoura will be available quite cheaply. Think Gini may stay as he won't get the wages elsewhere, Barca won't pay more than us even with him being in a free..... No gaurantee we will have all fans back at start of next season even if all vaccinated. Hope I'm wrong.

We have brought in new fitness/conditioning and recovery staff. I get the impression Klopp is done with players he can't rely on. Keita they are doing alot of physical work with and believe unless he stays fit until end of season he will be moved on. Think we will be in for 2 centre Half's this summer. Long term replacement for Virgil or bade or Bremmer. Klopp likes a big strong front foot aggressive CB so see it being Ozak, if he doesn't work then Caleta Car. Can't see Konate as too injury prone. Don't think we will buy likes of Bissoumer as too expensive. If likes of Ox, Shaq, milner, keita, Gini go then we will be looking abroad as likely cheaper......

Agreed. Lovren has looked class. We are one injury away/resting from a matip or klaven playing CB. With the amount of games expected next season think we could do with another top class CB

He is great defensively and was known for getting up and down the wing well But he didn't score allot of goals and his crossing is poor.

Too old. Too expensive. Doesn't score or create enough to be a rodgers type full back. The only reason I can see us going for him is if rodgers thinks Robinson or smith will be ready in a year or two and coke us a stop gap until they are ready and a mentor

That Moroccan lad was signed out of the blue.... no-one in the public domain realised we were interested. Just hoping we have a striker that can score lined up..... My fear is that the likes of Carrol, Adam, Spearo, Cole etc will go but on transfer deadline day not giving us a chance to bring in suitable replacements. Nahhh, I don't think Siggy will improve Spurs that much, certainly not to a level that we will struggle to match them. Sahin is a much better player than siggy.... I don't think we would be in for sahin if we got siggy, so am glad we didn't get him.......... This is assuming we get sahin

Also, as someone pointed out before, whereas he isn't a like for like replacement for Song, I can see why madrid don't want him to go to Arsenal as in effect he is likely to strengthen Barcelona. Arsenal will be more likely to sell Song to Barca if they get Sahin. Its a loan deal, I would have thought Madrid would have more of a say where he goes than the player then if it was a perm deal........ Also I though Sahin hated podolski...... And he is only a loan player not a perm signing, But, if we get him I genuinely believe we will finish above Arsenal this year, if they get him I can see them pulling away from us and the other chasers for CL places. I feel the longer it drags on, the more likely he will go to Arsenal, If it isn't confirmed he is ours today then I reckon we have lost the deal!

If we get Sahin I do wonder if Hendo is on the way out. He would seem to be a Rodger's type player but has been behind Shelvey in pre-season. could still probably get around 8-10m for him, possibly back to Sunderland........
