The point being that football wasn't mentioned in his desire to leave, it was all about a) his wife being unhappy and homesick and b) his love of Rafa and his football methods. If he goes to Milan to follow Rafa then thats his prerogative, but to decide to go to Barca which as far as I am aware is neither nowhere near Argentina or managed by Rafa, then thats pretty poor.

You dont see any difference? The s**** that Mascherano has come out with! Wife is unsettled so need to move, then wanting to go to Italy? Learning Italian and talking about Inter after loving Barcelona last summer, now its come full circle and he loves Barca again. Nothing about feeling unfulfilled by football, no he just wants to move, Kanchelskis mark II.

7th is totally out of order. I think with the squad we have got at this very moment, Hodgson could finish about 7th. But my point is that we need to support him and stop criticising him when he has done nothing wrong. He is agood football man, liked and respected by all the players at Fulham and he has the nouse to do a good job at LFC. Why? 'HTH' is the most annoying thing I have ever read on here, smug as f***.

Yes I agree with that and I do see the point about him being uninspiring etc... But it does seem like he is getting the job and I would prefer to back him rather than cane him when he hasn't made a single decision yet. I just dont see any outstanding attainable candidates out there. Maybe if we all knew who had been interviewed for the job we would be quite happy that its Hodgson and not one of the others.
