Always been one of his problems. -
I think the club should look at having a lab at Melwood where they can grow new bits of the human body on rats and sheep. As soon as a player picks up an injury they can whip the offending bit out and replace it with the newly grown body part. In the long run it cuts down on costs - we only need a small squad as there are no long term injuries.

I don't like the comment from the Ajax lot. They're not exactly a mickey mouse outfit, if he was that good then surely he would've been tied down by Ajax pretty early on. Still happy to wait until I've signed him on FM2007 to make a full appraisal of the lad's ability.

Who would you pick as our best player then? (at the risk of this turning into "my favourite player is <insertnamehere> because he's great"). I'm intrigued... I'll give you that he's not as important as he used to be, but that's because Benitez has successfully brought in quality players to build the team around him.

Nah, there's no good argument for selling Gerrard. He's our best player, one of the best players in the world. Do you honestly think that Milan fans sit there and think "Let's sell Kaka, we'll get a couple of good wingers, and a new striker" or Barca fans the same with Ronaldinho? You keep your best players, and build your team around them. Simple as.
