    Was he on the bench though, because that still would have kept the option on the table. Like, I remember in an old Doctor Who, Tom Baker wrestled with whether he had the moral right to use his time travelling privilege to commit genocide against the Daleks by killing them when they were still being grown in a lab. We just needed someone to stamp on Macheda's foot really hard when he was a kid.

    Especially when Rafa kept making pointed remarks about how he never got the money for shiny toys. That season was the time to spend the money wisely, on some yard dog like Lucas Neill or Kevin Muscat to snap Macheda in half and we would have won the league. Why were all of the biggest s***houses in the Premier League in the noughties Australian?

    Ok, I see your point on that and it was pretty bad taste, but that's definitely not how I view it. It's not really to do with the result, more his continued presence on the pitch bearing in mind the allegations against him like others have said. It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth, especially when you look at how City dealt with Mendy for example.

    That's fair, but Gyokeres has a ridiculous goalscoring record. I know it's only Portugal, but he's maintained it in Europe as well.

    Gyokeres and Osihmen will probably be available in the summer. Arsenal and United were linked with the former, but Arsenal are going for Watkins and United can't afford him.
