Yeah, but the downside to that approach is that they cost a load of money (which we don't want to spend), want a big salary (which we don't want to pay), and are wanted by other teams (who we don't want to compete with).

It's hilarious though that when we were after Caicedo, people were joking that we should sign the fella that Brighton were buying to replace him, and here we are looking at spending probably £50m more than we actually needed to.

That's not dissimilar to Bobby's goalscoring record. He had one purple patch for us and one for Hoffenheim, and apart from that scored roughly 10-15 goals a season as a trend.

To be fair, all of those are true except we won the league because we're f***ing boss. Wenger probably wasn't a paedo, but we don't have any clear evidence either way on that.
