I wonder how many people on here actually go to the game. Football is a game of very fine lines. With ounces more luck we could have won easy last night. Against Spurs we were terrible, no chances, no forward drive and no ambition. Last night there were 6-8 clear cut chances which were missed. some were extremely close. The ref was again, for some reason on a mission to give us nothing, the handball by Storey on the post was blatant and there were at least 2 other questionable penalty opportunities. The corner for their goal wasnt one and it was 30-40 seconds over time...??????? Gerrard was pretty poor, but he is normally brilliant, so 1 bad game. Kuyt the same Id say. Torres was hit very hard 3/4 times by Cuellar and Beye's elbow early doors and didnt react well to unpunished fouls. Im devastated and yes I agree the squad is too thin, etc we need more quality, etc, but last night could very very easily have been a win.

I have just booked, holiday inn in the city...anyone know where the ground is...? also, where will everyone be, a central square or something?

People go on about loyalty. I had 6 homes and didnt qualify, I have a season ticket (15yrs) and will no doubt have to pay £650+ a few weeks after Athens, of course I am not moaning about having to do this, but it should count for something, a lad who I know has been to 7 Liverpool home games all season, 6CL and he used my season ticket for 1 league game (the only 1 in all comps Ive missed this season at Anfield) and he qualified. He didnt know hed qualified until I told him yesterday. He forgot to look! Ive been to PSV twice this season, but not on my fancard, so that counts for nothing also. If I got offered a ticket at 'over the odds' Id grass the person up to the club, no doubt, no hesitiation. How can you enter people into a ballot they may not want to go in????? Absolute shocker.

Whatever the doom and gloom merchants on here say, we were 2 down at goodison and well on top of the game and hibbert pushed the ball out of play 5 yards from Poll. We were 1 down at Chelsea and Lampard pushed Gerrard to the ground in clear view of the ref. We were goaless today and an incorrect decision led to them scoring. Campo pushed Kuyt, and I have seen them given. You only have to remember Jeffers and Riise at Arsenal a few years ago to see what constitutes a penalty. I actually think some people need to analise the performance in their own mind. Too many fans are influenced by radio phone ins, TV presenters whose opinion changes from one second to the next. Clear examples when we had Houllier in charge everyone said 'theyve got no width' Last season it was 'Zonal marking', when Cheslea conceded more goals then us from corners last year. This year the bandwagon has a big sign on it 'To much changing'

An abysmal decision that goes with 2 abysmal penaly decisions at Woodison and 1 abysmal penalty decision at Chelski. How many times have we hit the post this season? Each away game that we have lost we have created far, far more chances than the home side, 2-13 today, 3-24 at woodison, more than Cheslki, etc. We are not getting the rub of the green, full stop, completely full stop.

I suggest all who ticked the boxes and put your cc details on check. I have come back from 2 weeks hols this morning to get my season ticket with 3 NO's by the FA, league and Euro games, despite ticking YES to all of these. My CC details were all entered correctly and the club gave no explanation as to why the mistake had been made on their part. All she said was send a fax and they would see what they can do, oh and go to Anfield this morning to queue for Haifa tickets. I have already spent 55 minutes on the clubs phone numbers to be given a FAX number that doesnt exist and I am currently ninth in the queue again. Furious with the ticket office again.

Maureen clearly did well at Porto. Now though...with the money and players he has he should win every game. Thats why he had his rant yesterday about respect & nobody liking them. You just know Poll is going to make himself centre of attention in a big TV game, like Winter and Rennie before him. I said befor kick-off we would see some contraversial decisions by him. Remember Hamman and Viera Vs Arsenal a few years back? He was poor for both sides, there was no physical contact allowed by him and he ended up giving 8 yellows in a game with no bad tackles. The irony of seeing Neville getting a stern telling off by Poll for waiving an imaginary red card at a Liverpool player early on and then getting 2 himself was great though! Their 'goal' was not disallowed as the whistle clearly went so early that our team stopped.
