I agree, Rafa made bad signings, all managers do even Roy will, hard to believe for you I know. The question is, did Rafa buy anyone as s**** as Beattie who was s**** when the s**** paid £8million for him 4 years ago then was even more s**** when they got rid of him because he was s**** for them. Paul Scharner, well you get bottom half players you end up in the bottom half, IMO.
-
Imagine the uproar if Rafa was linked with Beattie, Scharner, etc. Meltdown from some on here!
-
Terrible rumour, but my mate was on holiday 2 weeks ago apparantly on the beach next to J Cole's dad who told him 100% he has signed for Liverpool.....!! Prepares to be shot down.......
-
really?, Thats your only answer to the majority who thinks this is bad news....Id say you need to be doing the growing up kid, you may be able to think of better respones than your stock answer.
-
I know Im against Woy. But, how can ou take a job without asking what the funds available are...? That just seems mental.
-
Correct mate, Dave Hodgson and Gunga dun are the only 2 fans I know that appear happy with this mediocrity. 100% of the Liverpool fans I know, match goes, OOT's and fair weathers are totally underwhelmed by this. Its now almost midday and I havent even turned Sky Sports on, Im just totally underwhelmed, totally flabbergasted by this managerial appointment. Anyway, he is here now and the team will continue to get my 100% support, ill continue to blow fortunes on tickets and merchandise, Ill continue to encourage and try and be positive and Ill continue to hope that my fears, and the fears of everyone I know about this being another slide down a long slippery slope are completely wrong. Fingers completely crossed.

"Nullifying the opposition will not be their religion." Clearly this man didnt see Hodgsons Fulham last year.
-
50 years....??? f*** me......50 years...........as the blues**** would say, do you know your history....?
-
nah, you are completely missing the point, I dont care what they think and I never said that......I just dont think that any of those clubs would entertain this mediocrity. Ill continue to support my team, because thats what I do, but pal I care, I care tremendously about the club, in fact I love it and I just think as has been pointed out earlier we have spent £9million and ended up in a much worse place. There is nothing we can do now though because what is done it done, I really hope |Roy suceeds, I just done see it though, in fact there is nothing to sugest he will. I said a thousand times when there was talk of Rafa going its all OK and maybe time for a change, but as an institution you have to have better lined up if you are going to make such a drastic change, and we clearly didnt, Rafa is gone, done and dusted, but we have paid £9 million or whatever the amount is to end up with a manager with a terrible track record who I just cannot see improvoing things. Anyway, for the avoidance of doubt I am a liverpool fan, seacon ticket holder for 20 years and Ill support the team, the manager is an awful appointment but he is here and Ill just have to get used to it. s***, but Ill have to get used to it.
-
OK. Ill just accept it then.
-
Funny isnt it, only its not. When Rafa was appointed I was glued to SSN watching him, excited about the future under Europe's top manager thinking what a great appointment, hey and you know what I was right. Gave me the best night of my life in Istanbul. Now, I am that pissed off I havent even turned the TV on. Weird that every Liverpool fan I know thinks this is terrible, a piss poor appointment reeking of cheap option and reeking of lack of ambition. The Bitters, Mancs, Citeh and Chelski will be laughung their nuts off, would any of them appoint Woy, would they f***. Of course on here David Hodgson and Gunga Din think Woy is gweat, so all will be fine then!!!!! I weally weally hope I am wong, but I just dont see it.
-
OK you must be wight then.
-
Its not f***ing pathetic that I and many many many others think he is a s**** appointment, do you think me or anyone else will be screaming Roy out at our first home game, of course we wont. It was 15 months ago we finished second under Rafa, beat Madrid and the mancs among others easily. Its just a clear opinion among, lets face its, a majority of fans that Woy is a terrible appointment, I can only speak for myself, but I hope Im wrong, I just dont see it though. Failed Misewably, f*** me, 13th and a UEFA cup final loss and 1 away win all year is fail misewably in my book, f***ing Frank Spencer.
-
Dear me?????????????????????? You chump. Cant you see?? Jesus Christ. Woy Hodgson Liverpool manager. what a joke. 1, lets face it, pretty average season with Fulham 1 away win and s***, s*** negative football and here he is manager of the worlds biggest and best club!!! its like a f***ing terrible nightmare, anyway Im sure you and his lad on here David Hodgson will be appy!! I really hope I am wrong, but f*** me, you t***s who called for negative one striker, Rafa to go are in for a right treat!!
-
Seriously David are you taking the piss? You are, really the only pwo Woy poster on here......You seem to think hes fantastic, you know what I weallly weally hope you are wight. Hodgson, your dad? is a s**** manager for Liverpool, f***ing cheap, s**** poor option and you, Mr Hodgsons son are the only one backing him. f*** you and f*** woy. I am in the city and for the OOT's he city was pwetty much still for Wafa wight till the end. Despite what you say, cause you know what most intelligent fans knew there was no alternative and guess what, they were pwoved wight.
-
Hey, thank f*** for that Ive been away from radio, tv and internet contact for 1 day and he still isnt official so theres still hope frank spencer wont be our manager
-
Would anyone have entertained Woy' Fw*** Spencer' a year ago....? No If taggart quit would the mancs entertain Woy 'Fw*** Spencer'? No If Mancini quit would Citeh....? no FFS would the blus****? No We really have sunk low...I fdint give a f*** if hes a nice man hes s**** and we are now in deeper s****, the article kinda proves the propaganda s****......I do hope Im wrong.

Tell you what, I've never seen so much f*cking drama. Hodgson probably wouldn't have been my first choice either, but I say that then think realistically about the other options and I'm not so sure. No manager of the very highest echelon like Van Gaal or Capello will come here under our current financial circumstances so they were never really an option. True, so why did we sack a manager from the 'very highest echeleon?' And people need to ask themselves whether they think someone foreign of the next tier down like Pellegrino (great job though he did with Villareal), Deschamps or any of the other managers mentioned would have been more likely to succeed in improving our league position? Their record suggests they would have been a better option that a couple of sweedish and danish titles If his appointment has been given the 'thumbs up' from senior players and they stay, I fully expect Hodgson to achieve top four next season. In many ways he is arguably the most capable man of getting the best out of us with a limited budget and tight financial constraints. We have no idea this is the case, a lot depends I would think on Kenny's next move He knows the English game, is coming off the back of an extremely successful season and has coaching pedigree and international experience. He hasn't won that much but in all fairness, aside from his early stint in Scandinavia he hasn't managed a team capable of winning major trophies. Not sure how he knows the English game when 90% of his career has been spent in some 3rd rate countries, I would argue Inter were capable of winning things, maybe even his disaterous spell at Blackburn? Even Inter were in a bad way when he took over and he did a good job there. I understand people's suspicions of the owners and Purslow, I despise them as much as anyone. But I think there has been a dangerous and very unfair momentum building against Hodgson over the last few weeks. Regardless of the reasons he has been appointed we need to get behind Roy Hodgson fully if and when he is appointed because he is a good coach, a good bloke and really doesn't deserve a lot of the abuse he's getting here at all. Its not unfair, the majority of people look at his record and have made their minds up that he isnt good enough for us. Ask you this, 12 months ago what would have been your thoughts had Rafa gone to Juve and Hodgson replaced him??? I take my hat off to him for going for the job as well despite all this. That in itself is a first action deserving of respect in my book, perhaps everyone here including the owners might find him to be a bit tougher than he seems.

oops
-
You know what f*** Woy Hodgson. He is a s*** s*** s*** s*** appointement from a desparate club. It shows how f*** all the people who run our club know as Woy appears to have been their first choice what a f***ing joke. Liverpool fc are my team, I have my season ticket and have ticked cup games, Ill be going, but my enthusiasm is slowly dyeing thanks to the 2 f***ing yankee c**** who have ruined the club and you know what to a certain extent my life. We get rid of one of europe's top managers, who goes to the biggest and best available job in the continent and replace him with 1 danish championship and a Europa league final Woy 'Frank Spencer' Hodgson. Truely a s**** appointment, truely another nail in our coffin. I hope youse are all f***ing happy when the s**** football he turned out at Fulham comes to Anfield. f***ing terrible, terrible. You kno what I dont give a f*** if he is a nice man, our previous Roy (Evans) was a nice man and that got us f*** all.
-
Past records count for nothing for Roy though....?
-
I just happen the think Liverpool FC is bigger and better than a journeyman 62 year old manager with 18 previous jobs and no real success or real trophies who failed pretty miserably at Blackburn who came to anfield last year and played awful negative football. Hodgson a better manager than Eriksson...???? Wel his record wouldnt suggest that, and its better to deal in facts. I paid for my season ticket last week and ticked all the boxes for cup games and will support the team, I just think this choice of manager is 1. Cheap 2. Desparate 3. Simply not good enough. Mediocre....Im afraid thats what Roy is, and yes he does sound like Frank Spencer.
-
I just hope this isnt the case. 5 years ago Rafa was the best man in europe, a big name with a great track record, number 1 choice I am sure. Now we get a Frank Spencer sound-a-like from Fulham, a man who has managed 18 teams in his career, a man who brought Fulham to Anfield and played the most negative football seen all year. Close your eyes for one minute and think about if the Mancs were looking to replace taggart today, would they look at Hodgson.......................? Would Chelsea or Arsenal look at him.....ffs would Citeh or Spurs look at him........for gods sake would the blues****?? The man who should still be manager walks in to the number one job in Europe and we get f***ing Woy. Absolute s*** s*** and more s***. He might be a great man and a footballing man.....I cant say one way or another, but he isnt good enough for Liverpool FC, that there is no doubt. All of you who called for Rafa's head and wanted him out should hang your heads in shame when he is appointed and its the end of Liverpool FC as a big trophy winning club. Im telling you now, when Roy leaves in 18 months we will be 10th and looking at Curbishley, Pardew or Alladyce, this is the start of the slippery slope, when we accept that 4th or 5th best is good enough.
-
Oooops, ill keep me mouth shut then!
-
This might sound like a pointless point! and Im no expert on Purslow or Rafa, but I sit near to Purslow and every time the Kop chant 'Rafa-Rafael, Rafa-Rafael, Rafa-Rafael Benitez' Purslow clearly sings along and claps as well. Might be nothing, but I thought it was worth adding!!!
