Madrid can't have known that they'd need to offload Owen when they bought Woodgate. The two transfers aren't connected obviously. you're right, i thought of that when I'd read anny rd's post. If they'd won and i'd not even stood up and clapped then one of them would have had a swing at me at the least. Still, i'd love a ticket for that game...its tempting. Greatest fixture in club football in the world IMHO.

To be fair, i was in their equivalent of the main stand (not sure what the stand is called) and its not nearly as bad as it would be in the Stretford end. It was a bit more pleasant than being in the Gwladys St on derby day. That is a sickening place to be.

Why stop at running tracks, why not have a dog track round the pitch. The club could take a percentage of the bookies profits and we could bet on the races at half time.
