    I can see how that might work in a technical sense to get round FFP rules. But from a business point of view? Surely it should be ruinous to spend so wastefully. From the point of view of sporting fairness there should be some sort of cost for being such a collosal failure. You could argue that Chelsea last season were the worst team in the history of the league in terms of results v money spent.

    Surely even for FSG with their intention of selling, they've got to do this. Maybe aside from Mbappe and Haaland, he's the hottest young star around at the minute and would add such value to the club. We just need some football finances expert to explain with words like amortization and appreciating assets and so forth and hopefully they'll go for it
