A mate of mine was recently banned and sent a polite email saying he no longer wnted to be on the site anyway. This is the email in reply: Talking about other websites isn't a problem, it's in the manner it's done. If someone is simply taking the Micky, we don't want to know because we don't want that kind of immature atmosphere. Listen to our podcasts, we often mention RAWK? Why would we do that if we were bothered about other sites? Those that spend a lot of their time obessed with us, we don't want to know about. Do you see us slating other sites? No you don't. But there's a difference between someone saying something innocently in passing and someone who thinks it's funny with sly digs etc. The only people who are saying it's gone downhill are those associated to their friends who post elsewhere now. That doesn't concern us because the majority of feedback we are receiving is that the site is much more sensible now and we have more members now than at any time before. People such as yourself only see the negative stuff, thankfully we see the great positives every single day of the week from people who are desperate to remain a part of our community. Do you really think we'd deliberately try to make things worse if the feedback we were getting is so positive? We're running the site the way we feel is best and if that means reducing the silly posts for the bigger picture, it has to be done. The older members prefer the way things are. The internet is big enough for people to go where they choose. We don't force anyone to be a part of our community. People who are coming out with sly digs etc we don't want. We just want people who want a bit of a laugh and who want to discuss football and not politics. KopTalk does want to be on its own. It's worked and it continues to work looking after our own forums rather than concentrating on others. We just don't have time for kids. I may be a young lad myself but I try to conduct myself in a manner when on the site that takes into consideration the majority of the members and not just a select few. It's always a shame to see people go but as long as they're enjoying themselves elsewhere that's great by us. We're proud that most LFC websites out there today have been spawned by KopTalk. We can't keep everyone happy but we can keep those happy who just want to chat about the Mighty Reds without stirring. Those who just want to be smart aren't welcome. Good luck! YNWA
