  1. Thought Finnan was way better than Riise today.

    Cisse

He really is shyte and seems to be getting worse the more he plays for us.
  3. But he's a manc no more. Red through and through.
  4. Well we'd better win. It'll put down a good marker for next season and do we really want a Chelsea double? Go do them Rafa, and do them good.
  5. Interesting Ronnie won 13 major honours, while Barnes, Molby, Lee, McMahon btw won only 22.
  6. So not one person thought this guy is worth a shout? Date of Birth: 25-09-1961 Birthplace: Dublin Debut : 3rd April 1981 v Stoke City (H) Football League Division One: won 3-0 1st team games: 443 1st team goals: 73 Other clubs: Home Farm, Southend United (player and manager), Panionios (manager), Olympiakos Nicosia (manager) International caps while with Liverpool: 51 International goals while with Liverpool: 3 Honours with Liverpool: First Division Championship 1981/82, 1982/83, 1983/84, 1985/86, 1987/88 & 1989/90, FA Cup 1986 & 1989, League/Milk Cup 1982, 1983 & 1984, European Cup 1984, Charity Shield 1982, 1986 (shared), 1988, 1989 & 1990 (shared), Screen Sport Super Cup 1986 PROFILE The gifted successor to Ray Kennedy on the left flank of Liverpool's midfield, Whelan made a massive contribution to the club's majestic triumphs under Bob Paisley and Kenny Dalglish in the 1980's winning six League title medals, three FA Cup, a European Cup and three Milk Cup medals. A natural footballer, Whelan was signed by Paisley from Home Farm in his native Dublin in October 1979, just after his 18th birthday. He gave a hint of things to come by scoring on his debut against Stoke in April 1981, the first of 73 goals scored for Liverpool in almost 500 senior appearances. He had a talent for scoring spectacular and crucial goals, including a magnificent swerving shot that beat Manchester United at Wembley in the 1983 Milk Cup Final, the year after he scored twice at the same venue in the final of the same competition against Tottenham. As well as fierce shooting power Whelan?s lean build incorporated tigerish tackling ability. Later in his Anfield career he captained Liverpool and switched inside to a central midfield role. Whelan emulated his father, Ronnie senior, by representing the Republic of Ireland, for whom he won 53 caps. He left Anfield in 1994 to manage Southend, followed by a spell in charge of Greek club Panionios and then Olympiakos
  7. Something like this. Crouch, Fowler, Morientes to stay and 2 from Bellamy, Bent, Defoe, Owen and Kuyt. Hopefully it'll be Crouch, Fowler, Morientes, Kuyt and Owen.
  8. Fowler was on loan for years and is doing pretty good.
  9. Shant vote, as at least 5 players are equal in all they've done for us this season.
  10. Reckon Speedy will play more than him next season.

  12. Well I hope I'm right. Mori has a lot more to offer us yet and the more he gets used to the Premiership the more his true talent will shine.
  13. Hope he stays. Just a hunch that Mori is a slow burner in our league.
  14. Who is the best? Pepe, Clem or Grobs?
  15. i think he'll stay and Cisse and Pongolle will be off.
  16. Isn't there also some Valencia left back joining us?
  17. Well I'm arsed. Winning it would be the icing on the cake of a fantastic season.
  18. Think you'll strugle to name many players that do cover more ground though.
  19. We can't control every game we play, no team can. Yesterday was a bit backs to the wall but without the players ever looking like they we're in a panic. Yes, a bit like in Houllier's day but with far more composure
  20. Wouldn't mind a strike force of Owen, Crouch, Fowler, Bellamy and Mori. Of course this means 5 strikers, but we'll probably need 5 next season.

    TBH IMHO sulking is sulking.

Hasn't Cisse been asked to play wing because we're short in that position though? You couldn't use Mori or Fowler there as they are way to slow for that position. So Rafa which is his right is using the man he feels can fill the void, pity he can't actually play football though. Anyway Rafa isn't treating Cisse badly at all. With his actual ability on the ball he's lucky even to get on the bench and should be kissing Rafa's feet in thanks, not sulking like a girl.

    Cisse

    No he doesn't.
  24. If he's brought, a big if as well. I'm pretty sure Rafa can sort him out.
