Wait so he plays the 10 at home. Wins the league and the Champions League and is on the shortlist for best player, all achieved as a 10 but he’s not a 10? Decent results for us. Should have taken all three. Southgate is an abomination.

Yes you are saying that. For some reason the fact that the Dutch league is the seventh best in Europe doesn’t resonate with you at all. Yes that is true. Whenever someone says he has a reputation for so and so without saying where this reputation was forged or without acknowledging that the dutch league is s***e I feel compelled to point out facts.

Idk about that as a reference of quality. The Danish league is dogs***e but they also have players coming through ending in bigger clubs. Why does it seem like you aren’t actually meaning that? I can like him whilst also not propping up his Dutch reputation can I not?

This statement makes no sense either. The level of the Dutch league has no connection to anyone’s preferences for the job. I like him. I want him to win. But it’s ridiculous to prop him up and make his achievements larger than they were just because he ended up here. He has three years in the seventh best league in Europe and a failing European campaign on his CV. That’s it.

How is that even remotely the same? Does he really? Bet most here hadn’t even heard his name before 2024.

Any respectable big-time organization will have a hazing period. I don’t see why this is different. I like him and I wish him well but he doesn’t arrive with pedigree or reputation so all we bank on here is his potential. Fair play but then it is as Molby says.
